Gold, Granite, etc. 99 Cooking achieved Sunday, September 13th, 2009.99 Woodcutting achieved Friday, December 11th, 2009.All skills above 50, July 25th, 2008.All quests completed as of March 23rd, 2009. I shall be getting the sacred clay tool to use as well, although you may want to weigh up wether it'll be worth taking the time to get it again after it's used up. Some people in my thread said they got bonus xp from willow longs, but yet, I got no bonus xp. even so no reason to shout. hammer works for con and smith just fine. the pick does work for granit for me even if its a tad slow. the wc axe does work on maples. harpoon works but its to slow to be effective. knife works for me on yews. havn't tried needle or net yet. the bugs will probably be fixed just cool down until then. Get 85 mining through coal/gold at like 15k xp/hour and not a lot of profit either, or powermine to 85, save a lot of time and mine rune in the time you saved? (I do not claim to know anything, nor do I want/need/care to know anything about these sacred tool items.) D-Jay pretty much summed it up though. Powermining granite, ranging from 10-60k exp/hour. (Dependent on the type of granite you get most) Mining gold, 15k exp/hour static. (Just using D jays estimate) The thing that makes it sensible to powermine is in the time saved you would have to be able to make the same amount of money, if not more, as you would of spending the full time just doing gold. It's not a matter of being a "noob" because you are going with a faster way of gaining exp for the sacrifice of profit its more of a question of EFFICIENCY. Efficiency and persistence are what any good skill trainer needs in order to get the desired skill levels in the shortest time span. We could all mine gold for 99 mining and cut willows for 99 wc and fish monks for 99 fishing and train on experiments or whatever for 99 melees and do serum 207's for 99 herblore and use fire giants to get 99 range and curse to 99 magic... but is anyone really planning to play runescape until they are 80 years old?... I highly doubt it. ----------------- As for you Roflcopters, granite is the fastest way to 99 without profit. Ranging anywhere from 10k exp/hour (minimum) to 60k exp/hour (maximum). It varies with each hour and solely depends on the type of granite you are able to get within that given hour. Apparently, my signature was to big. It may not be quick but it DOES give bonuses. And for me, I mine granite one or two hits pretty much every time so it really wouldn't make a difference - i'd give it a go and see. If you can get higher anywhere else (except stars) you'll get a box fulla cookies. You should also use (while you are there): -Lava Titan or Obby Golem, if you have it -Varrock Armor 3, which DOES work on Granite/Sandstone -Humidify for the mage xp, and it's cheaper than the Tiara failure -Star Find chat, it's a great way to break up boredom mining. Just a side note: I powermined iron on f2p from 60-85. Took me 120 hours. Pick your poison. ~It's Super Effective!
