Say you got a magic and firemaking cape and you want to mage the barrow brothers, why not have free casts of a fire spell as long as you're wearing magic hood/cape and firemaking hood/cape. Note this would be an extra ability to be bought from the skill cape givers. Any more suggestions? Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. 50Athlete50Lazy Posted November 28, 2008 Share Posted November 28, 2008 I had a slightly different idea, I believe skill capes should give bonuses in accordance to the skills they belong to, for example the stength cape could give +4 to strength, +4 wouldn't be much good for the defence cape, so how about a bonus +12 added onto the capes original defence bonus. Combat capes would-be bonuses are pretty straight forwards, so now for non-combat skills: fishing: increases catch rates of various fish cooking: increases cooking rate/decreases likelyhood of burning construction:i dunno TBH lol RC: craft bonus runes depending on how many you would originally made in total say, bonus=20% of total. slayer: Slayer hood gains the same bonuses as a slayer mask when worn in tandom with the cape. yondergod22 Posted November 28, 2008 Share Posted November 28, 2008 hmm....your idea is ok, and athlete's is good too. but my idea is to have to have, for example, the range cape works like an accumulator, and the hunter cape is like a spottier cape, can't think of any other good ones atm, but maybe you could smith w/o a hammer with the smithing cape, or a chisel with crafting. What about: Magic+runecrafting: every 5th spell, of the same spell, you cast requires no runes. (like if you cast 4 fire waves you get the 5th one free, but if you cast 4 fire waves and a high alch you have to pay for all the spells.) Crafting+magic: get enchanted jewelery as soon as you craft it (if you have the runes to do the enchantment) firemaking+cooking: don't burn any food Summoning+prayer: Prayer potions restore summoning and summoning potions restore prayer melee (atk or str)+magic: chance of freezing your enemy for 20 seconds (no extra damage) defence+crafting: boosts range and mage def on d'hide but sacrifices melee def defence+prayer: protection prayers are more effective against other players. thiving+construction: makes sawmill operator lower prices on planks by 50% and give free normal planks quest+any skill: gives a boost in that skill farming+woodcutting: allows you to dig up tree stumps when they are cut down (respawns like normally) well thats all the ideas I have for now and I have to go anyway.
