November 24, 200817 yr Those laptops aren't built to play any game more demanding then solitare. This is about the lowest priced one I can find on either of those sites which would play WoW well. November 24, 200817 yr Buying from Wal-Mart...? Go to at least future shop and get things overpriced a bit cheaper there, or buy from Tiger Direct or Newegg to be honest. Anyways: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... =T24-15052 There's a video too if you want to look at it. It has accelerated graphics though, up to 1.7GB, though I think thats from the RAM. ^Watch the vid anyways, I love Albert & Baur, lawl. Laptop that looks like it'll do something for you: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... etailspecs There's a vid too. $1000 one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... etailspecs No vid, gf. I think those all can play WoW successfully, and decently. Or perhaps I just posted these so I can share my love of Albert. <3
November 24, 200817 yr Author i lol'd. We don't have a Tiger Direct in my city :'( Oh yeah, and I've thought of taking babies and throwing them. November 25, 200817 yr We don't have a Tiger Direct in my city :'( Order online? Or go to like Futureshop, or whatever computer store is near you, and ask them if they have anything relative to the specs that are above (so yes, write or print the above, or whatever and bring it to the store). In most cases they will either try to sell you a similar one, or order it for you with a bit of an extra charge. Before you buy anything, make sure you get quotes, or write down the specs of the machines they've offered you, then come back to us and we'll tell you if they are scamming, or it's 'good'. Or order online. -.-

WoW isn't that demanding and I don't think the OP needs something that powerful, or overpriced for that matter. My laptop (1.6ghz dual core, 2gb ram, GeForce GO 7300) runs WoW with ease. With most graphics down, I can break 60FPS without a sweat. So even laptops with low end dedicated cards (GeForce GO 7300, 8200, 9300) will play WoW. Got to watch the Intel GFX because they use shared memory, the low end Nvidia's normally have at least 128mb dedicated, which is what you want. [Tip.It Mod][Retired][Add your Steam name here!]

Yes, a decent laptop can run it with settings toned down, but the integrated graphics really can't handle it. November 27, 200817 yr I can run WoW with most graphics turned up for about an hour before I get some fan problems. Turned down I can last awhile, and this was a $900 laptop with an AMD 1.6GHz processor and 1.5G of RAM. But more to the point, don't go with Alienware anything. A few of my friends have bought from them, and aren't happy at all. They overheat or just flat out break quite easily, and the outrageous prices are just that - outrageous. I didn't buy this laptop for gaming originally (then my desktop died, but that's another story). I can offer some tips though. Invest in a cooling pad (with 2 or 3 fans). It's the best thing you can do for your laptop, because it decreases temps quite a bit, especially if you are planning to do games on it. My laptop would probably catch fire if I played WoW on it for half an hour without the pad (no joke, it's already blown a power supply on me). And find something metal to keep the PSU on, don't use it on carpet. [hide=Funny Quotes]So you sucker punched a kid in the back of the head? November 28, 200817 yr The computers you listed have integrated [cabbage]ty graphics cards. For games slightly graphically demanding like WoW just make sure they have @ least 256mb dedicated video memory and they should be fine. "gaming laptops" are overhyped and overpriced, avoid them completely, unless you are very rich. [iNSERT "I R EATIN TEH SHIX ATM" BILL COSBY SIGNATURE GIF HERE, LOL]

I've had bad experiences with two of them. Scrap the laptop idea unless you travel a lot and actually need to take your computer with you. Desktops are going to be superior for gaming. November 30, 200817 yr Author trust me guys... any laptop will do better than this computer. this is around 2 years old and cost us $500. December 14, 200817 yr I'd say WoW has nice graphics than RS, but it isn't that special compared to other games. Even something like Half Life 2 (2004) has nicer eye candy than WoW. Anyway, my old card I had could run WoW fine on near highest settings. It was an ATI Radeon x600 256Mb, so quite old :P. Most modern cards ('mobile' cards if you want a laptop) should handle it fine.
