jagex favors melee

omfg all the new weapons and armour are for melee just to name a few

 

 

 

-godswords

 

-dragon claws

 

-dragon platebody

 

 

 

why doesnt range have godbows?

 

why doesnt mage have godstaves?

 

 

 

wtf! no wonder melee is what the overwhelming majority of players use in combat.

 

 

 

there are 2 other skills that could use updates you know!

Magic does have godstaves. Mage arena spells. Magic also got the new PvP spells.

 

Range got the darkbow and the bolts. They are overpowered as it is. They can hit 50s with a fairly high range level from a distance. Not to mention extra effects of stealing prayer, reducing stats, and hybrid magic without much sacrifice for defense/offense. Thats more than melee can boast.

 

 

 

I dont think they need an upgrade.

 

 

 

I find it ironic that your avatar is a picture of a darkbow spec hitting double 48s...

The way I see it, more people use melee then range or magic. So Jagex thinks: more people do melee so they should get more updates to satisfy more people, so we can make money! This is perfectly acceptable as they are trying to run a successful business. I also find it ironic that your pic is that of a darkbow hitting very very high.

Range and magic are already extremely powerful. I can frequently defeat 130+ players with my 96 range - hitting as well or better then my (almost) maxed melee stats! A single miasmic barrage will completely change the outcome of a fight, and range and magic still hold exclusive rights to multiple targets, especially mage.

But you have to get a staff that's like 1M that lasts for 15 minutes or 5M that lasts for an hour :wall:

Simple fact is almost everyone uses melee at some point or another. As mentioned previously Mages and Ranges did get updates recently as well. It's just the updates are released apart instead of all together so it looks like that Mages/Ranges aren't getting anything.

but on wow you also use up arrows on hunters/rogue/warriors so thats why they are less popular on wow and rs

and then barrows -.- all the melee barrows armour has some point (torags is probably least useful) arhims is what pretty much all mage weilders use

 

 

 

karils... can lower you agility! PWNED! #-o well it has good mage def but who actually tries to hit you with mage while your in void? ive yet to be pwned by a mage while in void. the karils c bow also has less range bonus than the rune cross bow despite the fact it needs 70 range to weild and is two handed.

 

 

 

the crystal bow would pwn the karils c bow and the crystal bow is much cheaper to fire

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

also for godstaves i ment gostaves from GWD not the mage arena :roll:

 

(my brother wants staves to have a spec lol) what will you do hit twice with your staff? lol.

Currently, there are 47701 people who could survive that. If you're low-leveled enough so the chance of encountering one of those is basically zero, you're all set. A chance of instakill can still yield an instakill.

Ever been to a game of castle wars...all you ever hear is "zomg anicinet magers bstrd!" :lol:

 

 

 

and you have the balls to say its under powered? oh yea...your totaly underpowered when you can spam a spell that will hit 30, freeze for 15 seconds and hit multiple people, totally underpowered!

 

 

 

 

 

look, the point is...range and mage sucks, sorry...

 

 

 

go play wow. lol

 

 

 

hunters on wow are basically archers.

 

mages are spell casters, that don't use runes! lol

No, the reason why rogues are unpopular is because so many of them are Twinks, similar to our pures. Warriors are unpopular because of their lack of survivability when soloing. Hunters are unpopular because they can be played by a drunken chimpanzee with both of it's hands broken.

If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system.

 

Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.

The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."

The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

As any experienced player can tell you, big hits aren't everything.

 

 

 

You don't see people getting freezed by melee do you? Or hit by 2 insanely powerful hits which CAN NOT MISS?

 

 

 

It is true that melee can hit higher than the others, but remember it comes at a price. This is namely you having to be up close as well as equipment that is generally more expensive.

Ugh, hate Paladins, but Shammys and Druids rock! My two favorites, though my main is a Druid, feral as can be. And it was a joke- the ammo thing IS annoying but not enough to keep people off those classes.

ZGS can freeze you lol, and just because a d bow cant miss doesnt mean it will hit high.

 

 

 

However, I do agree with you. Big hits arent everything. Also to whoever thinks melee is overpowered then you do not know how to use the other forms of combat.

 

 

 

While I highly doubt a tank mage can defeat a tank ranger, I do think that if you know how to use ancients properly then you can easily take down a melee player even without farcasting the entire fight. Range vs melee is pretty even though, when according to the triangle melee is supposed to be superior. I completely disagree with anyone who claims melee is favored.

lol chances that you will one hit a person with the d bow are exremly small becuase the d bow has a tendancy to hit lower when people have on armour lol.

 

 

 

dds on the other hand are more accurate in a way (atk pots) and they generally hit higher than the dark bow in one or two specs

ever wonder why runescape unlike msot other rrpgs allows you to use all types of combat??? because we arent supposed to be restricted to one type if you think melee is better get your melee up why must you allign yourself to range or magic the whole point is to get all stats up
