With grey chins. Controversy? Not a chance. Mummies are far less XP for a TINY profit in drops. Way too hard to line up respawns and lure; with ape atoll your hitting 9 monkies steady, never worrying about spawns.

I have a small, small idea for you. Read some of my previous posts. Melee has two skills to train. Range has one. Therefore, 99 range takes 1/2 the XP as 99 melee. Comprende? Let me know when you find a melee method that obtains 100k attack AND strength XP at the same time

Granite maul? Oh yeah, the weapon that goes something like "0-0-0"? Yeah, I've heard about that. I think I hit about once every 8 specs last time I tried that on 99 defence.

Unfortunately, you were imagining things. The d claws max 86\87 with a single spec; the only time the first hit can hit over 43 is when the other 3 are 0, at which point it can hit 49.

I highly disagree. When was the last time melee got a weapon unquestionably superior for both training, PVP, and boss hunting? Whip came out years before crossbows. Crossbows and DFS blew melee out of the water; melee's last "decent" update (Aside from speccing weapons, which have much less of an impact on boss hunting\training and to a lesser extent, PVP) was defenders, which were also quite long ago.

Slayer is downright horrible for training range.

 

No argument here, slayer highly favours melee, which can be a big downside to any rangers out there.

 

 

 

Lastly there's the arguement that levels are levels and if you're a maxed player who has lvl ~50 slayer, it's really going to hurt you badly if your going to try to get the highest total level you can. When people compare exp at a spot such as zombie monkies vs. slayer, they almost ALWAYS forget to add in the slayer exp which is worth it's weight in gold.

Godswords? Terrible for training, bad for boss hunting, worthless for PVP aside from specs (AGS is out hit by dragon claws as well as cheaper). If you can afford SGS (I'm assuming you mean that, not sara sword), you better have 68 summoning; SGS has a few uses for healing while training, but it's not that great for most boss monsters or PVP. You heard wrong about barrows, magic is (and always has been) the best way to go.
