jagex favors melee

You missed the point. You won't be able to reach your godsword; you'll be frozen the second you appear, they watch for things like that. And if you drink it at "35 hp or so" they will heal you to full, and continue smiting. Repeat until you die.

Hypocrite. You tell others to be nice then attempt to murder people. Nice going, you just failed life.

You seem to be missing the point. You can't just go back and get your stuff; you've got a clan sitting there waiting for you, knowing you're back for your AGS. With all available entrance points covered, you won't get within sight of that godsword.

well since you sealed off that route

turn off accept aid, then they can't heal you so drinking a pot before you die should work

my first win pl0x? =P~

Few people have accept aid off, and constant teleothers and barrages can make it almost impossible to turn off. It's the only known loophole in that method, but 1 itemers rarely have a chance to utilize it.

How's that a win? I already knew and mentioned that as the one downside.

well i'll still count it as a win since i need one =D>

Mkay, whatever you say. Anyway, just another way to illistrate my point - not only is melee weaker and harder to train, it's much more risky; weapons are expensive. Dying with an ancient staff and a few hundred runes won't break the bank; same with a rune crossbow and diamond bolts. But an AGS - or even a whip + defender - would be a much bigger deal.

while training you would lose more if you died with range or mage since most of melee's expences goes into the weapon which is saved upon death.

range and mage carry around alot of stackable objects which can't be kept save 1 bolt/rune so you would lose more depending on how many bolts you take to train.

Has anyone ever died while training? Anyone? Yeah, me neither. Of course, losing my defender, berserker ring, d claws (whip + fury + gloves protect) and fire cape would be a bit of a bummer.

Losing my 2k broad bolts (120k) and my 12k rune crossbow? I can live with it.

Most of it is common sense. You learn it as you train.

Melee is probably most popular because it doesn't take any consumables, meaning no cost after buying weapon, and also unlimited "ammo" (unlike arrows/runes). But range / magic still are very effective mainly because they attack from distances. Jagex probably update melee more so it wouldn't get owned by range / magic. A person can run away from someone with melee weapon but rarely from a ranged weapon.

With melee if you engage in combat with them and they run you will still be attacking them although melee has heavier armour so they will run out of energy faster.

Dodge once behind any obstacle and the meleer will never be able to touch you again, letting you simply run away or log out.

If you are in Bounty Hunter there are mostly no obstacles although you prove a valid point if you are in a pvp world.

The viewing orbs can be used as safe spots if your opponent is immobile. I'll bet you can't kill an enemy, ranger or meleer, without taking any damage as a meleer.

So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
