You are so wrong, do you know how much of a disaster it would be if we ever manage to have more then two parties? Imagine trying to elect a president where the winner would merely be the one with a plurality of votes, and trying to elect a speaker of the house... or worse yet trying to actually get something passed. The U.S congress cannot function like the U.K's parliament, it's built for super majorities, not pluralities.

Fair enough the Barnett Formula does work in our favour but Labour would be hypocritical to revise a formula that they supported just because the SNP are in power (not that it would necessarily stop them). Then again, when you consider our contributions in terms of say North Sea Oil (over 90% of all the UK's domestic oil) then we're about even. ;)

 

 

 

The only chance of the Barnett Formula being revised anytime soon is if the Conservatives get in power but then again if the do support for independence will skyrocket up here.

I would ad a policy where all high schools have to offer over-the-internet classes. Instead of going to school, you can take online classes. You will learn everything you would originally learn at school, except for at your own rate. If you can work fast, you could complete each grade in only 2 or 3 months.

 

 

 

To pass each grade, you would be required to take a 300 question test at the school to prove you know what you know and that you did on just simply copy the answers. This test will comprise of open-ended answers. This way, you have to actually think.

 

 

 

Our school's finals now are all multiple-choice. You can basically look at the problem and guess the answer for the math ones.

Definitely no, making high school education online misses all the social activity and suffering that you get in high school that makes you who you are later in life. Bad idea in my opinion

I am not saying erase high school completly. I am just offering a way for those people, who may not be as social as everyone else, an aalternative to some classes.

We are far better than the rest fo the world. Every Christian (I hope) knows this nation is going secular, but that doesn't mean they themselves don't want to keep the status quo.

While I think this is a somewhat decent idea, it would never fly in this country. I think that there should be a stricter compotence evaluation, but that just isn't in the best intrests of Americans. Too many people would respond as follows.

Overthrow the presidents and leaders of all the nations in the world and then let the world be ruled by some quasi anarchist commune thing. Only thing I can think of right now is make everyone take a test before the are eligible vote. The same one required to become a citizen or something very similar.

Except you'd be the president in this situation and therefore be overthrowing yourself, which would void the whole situation. But yeah there are at least 6 forms of communism I can think of off the top of my head.

Communism, like Anarchism, is completely impossible. I recommend you read Thomas Moore's Utopia if you haven't, or more distantly George Orwell's 1984 (which isn't Communism, but follows certain trends of ideologically impossible political ideals).

 

 

 

The USSR and Soviet Union, Soviet Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Albania, and East Germany (DDR) were all Socialist. But has been proven, only mild Socialism works, to which is in itself undesirable. Unless you are a member of the FDJ, and I wouldn't find that shocking.
