compfreak847
But less fun for me... Not everyone likes the same things. BTW, do not ever suggest flax picking to me again. It"s my worst nightmare! So are clue scrolls. I hate running around trying to get items I don't have! Much as I hate flax picking, at least it provides a better income. Kythras
I just like the thrill of not knowing what you'll get. It's fun and at least they aren't repetitive most of the time. The flatpack items, while absolutely worthless, are fun to put in your house :) You might get these often, but once in a while you get these And you're happy. Snipers_end
Why does money matter so much? I find them fun, good enough for me. Plus I never spend over 3 hours on a clue or cannot get to a place in a clue because I know how to do puzzles, all the uri emote clue stuff I keep after the clue, I can get into any place described with clues, and I have a house that can tele me AT LEAST a 5 minute walk away from a clue (and that is worst case scenario) Yeah I like clues. And my best single reward has only been a rune gold trimmed helm and the best overall clue was that helm and zammy legs and yet I still like to do clues. When you are so addicted to a game that the piles of cash are more important to you then the fun its time to take a break. A long break. Fun is entirely relative. Some of us don't like running around in circles doing the exact same clues 500 times for virtually no rewards. Treasure Trails were created as a break from regular training that could earn you some serious cash. Now that that's gone, it's like Trawler Fishing. TheLad1
How Ironic - I'm just reading this thread whilst slaying Abby Demons (again \ ) & lo and behold a nice Level 3 Clue Scroll appears. I always do any Clue Scrolls - I've got 486 pictures, mostly lvl 3 (I didn't bother capuring the Lvl 1 & 2's from my earlier noob years!!) & yes I get my fair share of complete & utter rubbish. However, I also get my fair share of decent drops - as evidenced by this:- [/img] As a constant Slayer I use them as a 'break' & will continue to do so. The beauty of this game is everyone can play their own game how they want - if someone chooses to do a clue "good luck to them", if someone chooses to 'alch' the clue "good luck to them". tard53
tot the OP, i feel your pain. the other day, i spent 2 hours on a clue scroll. It had about 9-10 clues in it. I didnt even know that was possible. I had 2 sliding puzzles, 3 double agents in wildy, 2 coordinates both in wildy and killed zammy mages (not that hard though) and something else i forgot. My reward: 22 blood runes, rune battle axe, 15 purple sweets. made me really mad

tard53
I swear to god it was at least 8. I thought the max was 6. When I got to the 6th clue I was relieved that it was almost over. I put in a bug thing and don't know what happened since then.

Deathmath
I do mine, but then again I don't get many and I haven't done enough quests :/ Can't do half of them anyways. I do it for the fun, but you can't do it for anything more than that. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
Star_Fox
clues take around 10-15 minutes average and i usually get around 80-200k rewards so its well worth it for me.

homowz
clues mostly are fun, ok sometimes there is an enoying 1 that sends u somewhere in the wild or into the khazari jungle or other places where u cant tele to. and thats when they get enoying cuz it taking 2 much time etc. but since the terrorbird or explorer ring u recharge ur energy and runnig lasts much much longer so even the rant 'i had to walk to much cuz my energy was down after some time' isnt possible anymore... its not the idea of getting money its more the feeling of real joy when u see thge picture at the end and there it stands, 1 of those special items. that moment u dont care how many hours uve wasted on other useless clues. i wonder, if u ever had a clue with a zammy kite for example u would also compaint about them... hkscaper
Clues may not be as good as flax picking in terms of income, but I have yet to meet a single player who thinks picking flax is more fun than doing clues. They aren't worth going out of your way to do, but it is certainly a better use of time than dancing with random people at the GE.
Draconic
I always do clues (except for the level 1's; at east level twos have anima masks...). In fact, my astest clue gave me a nice 250k Zamorak Page in about 15 minutes ^_^. My best ever clue gave me a robin hat, and last week I got a Saradomin Helmet (which I sold for 800K) I always do them, though it is discouraging when I get a crappy reward... but there is a chance, even a small one, that you can get a 3rd age item, which for players like me who only have about 12m worth of items and cash in the bank, can be a game-changing reward. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.
SirTommy2005
IF you have equipment aka (Teles to places like special teleports) along with set inventory, then clueing is easy. Uri's annoy me due to the fact I have to bank to finish, otherwise I just continually teleport all over Runescape in hope to find a little chance for relieve at the end. It's our curiosity that drives us to do them.

What? ill repait it in a more simple way: theres no reason to rant about clues, they take like 15-30mins when u can tele to the places where u gotta go and maybe little longer if u get sended to places where u cant tele to or if u get enoying uri. also the only pll that rant about clues, are those that never got anything worth a fortune from it. I wonder if u would rand if u had a zammy kite or so from it...
