I'll read the first few posts or so of a new thread before i add my comment, but then i'll go back and read the comments before mine. I find it funny some of the comments have started angering other people and someone tries to make themselvs look smart but the person who replys to them shoots them down and bacally stamps "FAIL" on their forehead.

Yeah I know because everything I've ever posted was serious.

I admit every once in awhile there is an arguement that makes me chuckle but I think such feelings are best kept to yourself. If said arguement angered a certain someone, I don't think listing/ reminding them of it will do any good.

 

 

 

It's also not right to laugh at other's arguements, it's sort of indirectly contributing to the arguement. This things are best remained buried in the past.

Mostly, I don't find it funny, just stupid. :| Most out-of hand arguments are fought be people who are beside themselves with anger, which really makes their flamewars get ridiculous after they abandon logic and reason and go into insults.

I suppse so, the arguments on TIF tend just just go round and round in circles, it's why I never really post in the serious threads (plus I cba/am not very good at constructing a decent argument).

All the time, don't have any examples at the moment though.

Do you really feel you have the high ground to be laughing at other posts? From what I've read from you you're on their level, just not as amusing.

Most of the time I just don't even bother replying, when a person is continuously using personal blogs as sources, cites wrong info, states horribly inaccurate figures as fact (like thinking america has billions of people or the "NWO" is a real jew conspiracy)...

 

 

 

If you see the things a person continuously posts are almost always grossly inaccurate, it's usually not worth it to debate anything with such a person. More often than not they will persist in delusions and refuse to acknowledge reality.

 

 

 

Another, fortunately somewhat rare group on tip.it, is obnoxious kids who want to argue semantics "just because". Ignoring the broader argument, they will cling onto every word and proposition and claiming 'subjective intepretation' and tire other debaters until they just stop posting back. Jesus christ, become lawyers or something.

 

 

 

No, not everyone has to agree in an argument. That's not the point of a discussion. But what ruins good debates is when fools can't acknowledge they were wrong and continue making totally irrelevant arguments & divert the thread to another issue.
