Just an observation I've made recently: even if dragon plate becomes a rare drop from tormented demons, won't it still be in excess supply? I suspect with the promise of getting full elite, full dagon, 400K xp, and not to mention the dragon piece, many people will be aiming to finish the grandmaster quest -- and with each of these people, 1/3 of a dragon plate comes into the game. That means that for every 3 questers, it is guaranteed that there will be 1 dragon plate for whoever wants it. This is a lot considering the low demand for the item. The problem is, no one really wants the plate. It pretty much is a better version of a dragon chain -- a showoff item with somewhat limited combat potential. Back in the old days, such an item would be highly demanded. Nowadays, there are many substitutes for 10-30M semirare armor pieces for showoff. For example, Bandos plate, which is cheaper at the moment, looks (imo) better, has combat uses, and is much more common. The godswords are also substitutes, and have much more usefulness (not to mention, look much better). Furthermore, the only players impressed by the item at the moment are level 100-, who still think Dchain is "cool" :P. These players aren't going to be able to offer much for the plate in the first place. Dplate was released just about 2 years too late.... Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? Considering the chain has been roaming around for years and is still in great demand, the plate should still have quite a big market, and the plate pieces are actually quite rare to be found and in limited amounts(they are now very rare drops from demons). The current major pircedrop is a result of market being majorly oversupplied, but less and less people are going to be finishing the quest from now, therefor the price is bound to rebound in short notice and the slow supply of ruined pieces will keep the plate price up. It's MUCH easier for a person to get many dragon chains than finish the quest and get 2 ruined pieces. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. December 10, 200817 yr It's been said alot recently that the dragon plate came 1-2 years too late. To help resolve that problem they should just make those lump non-tradable but keep the plate as a tradable item.

December 10, 200817 yr Author Still, by the looks of it I think it'll be more common than dragon chain. That shouldn't happen. Also, prices are stabilizing (I think).
