December 28, 200817 yr im a member who hasjust decided to take fishing up as i got to 50and realy enjoyed it. i was just woundering what would be a good way to 99 and how long it would take. many thanks blakesco109
December 28, 200817 yr Monkfish are one of the best things to do, they require that you do the quest Swan Song though. They are quick exp and sell for 400+ each. Now for the little bit of hope dashing. 50 fishing is actually very low, it is only .77% of 99, meaning you will have to do it 128.5 more times and it will take about 371 hours.
December 28, 200817 yr woah, woah, jumping in a bit deep ain't ya? anyways, monkfish would probably be the best way to go. that, or....barbarian fishing is ok as well.
December 28, 200817 yr never too ealr yo start :P monks are very very good, around 38k xp per hour and are good cash aswell, feel free to pm me if you want details. rs name is eric1770
December 28, 200817 yr monkfish are good. decent exp and cash. may get quite boring sometimes, as they is pretty much NOTHING to do at that area other than fish.
December 28, 200817 yr if your looking for xp barb is the best with a small bit of strength and agility xp, but shilo fishing makes you a small profit. but for sure if you looking for a balance in xp and gp monks are best...cept the place is very depressing looking so find a good movie
December 29, 200817 yr yes no one mentioned monkfish need 62 fishing and 100 qp to access That's why it's best not to rush into these skillcapes. The two best ways to get 99 fishing are monkfish and heavy rod. Shilo is strictly less efficient and you shouldn't fish to 99 there unless you really hate the other two for some strange reason. However, monkfish require completion of Swan Song, and heavy rod powerfishing requires 45 agility and 45 strength. As a new member, you will have neither the 100 quest points nor the 45 agility that are recommended for getting 99 fishing. I strongly advise getting one or both of them before you go for 99 fishing. (The agility would probably be faster, if you had to do just one.) Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
December 29, 200817 yr Fishing is a great skill, if you really enjoy it. I wouldnt recommend Monkfish though. Since the place is dun boring and dark. Shilo fly fishing, Sharks. Handfishing swordfish/tunas..
December 29, 200817 yr I would advise against fishing sharks for training and even for profit. I found that I got much more money per hour catching monkfish than I ever did on sharks because of the increased amount of fish you get in the same time period. Raw Monkfish are 413 Raw Sharks are 1,049 That means for every Shark you need about 2.5 monkfish however I think I timed it once and worked out that you get at least 3 monkfish in the same time it takes to catch one shark. It also means you get about 360 exp via monks in the same time as the 110 exp by shark. I know you cant get monkfish yet but the time it takes you to level up to the required levels and do the quests will save you loads more time in the long ran than by doing other fishing methods all the way to 99.
