My favourite at the moment has to be the American show Cops. I love the raw realism of it and it really gives you great respect for those who work in law enforcement. For some reason I really enjoy Ice Road Truckers. There's not really anything interesting about it, but I'm happy to sit and watch it. La lune ne garde aucune rancune. One was documentaries on how kids live in other countries, one where these two teens and old scientist hunt for ghosts/monsters, and another where Jeff Corwin hunts for animals and he uses a GPS.
