Is it just me...... or are half keys a really really common drop now....

 

I swear in the last week I have gotten 9 tooth halfs and 4-5 loop halfs!

 

 

 

Prior to this, in the last year of playing I have only got 1 tooth and 1 loop

They've been more common for a long time. I remember when prices were a bit higher, but they arn't likely to vary much as the loot in the chest is always the same (similar).

All from drops, it's not as many as some might own but yeah, I guess they're common.

I got them a lot more a few years ago then I have been getting in the past 2 weeks I started playing again.

 

 

 

I used to get 1 if not more every trip to some kind of monster.

Maybe your just killing more stuff that drops them now than you were before this.

I think it is a mix of that and they may have become less rare. I had awhile where I was on the verge of not grabbing them. Now I haven't seen one in months. Fire giants, abbys, and some other monsters really seem to drop them a lot.

Lucky you, I don't get them enough. I have 15 loop half's and no teeth. I got 2 from the last 2 slayer tasks I had and then I got more loops. I wish I got the more often and more teeth then loop half's. I want to use my keys.

I agree with you SP, I always get more loops than teeth.

 

I have noticed I get them a lot more from slayer monsters rather than other typical monsters. So in that sense I have noticed getting them more frequently, but @ the OP: I don't think their drop rates have changed.

I was recently given a loop half key in a random event with the old man.

Its not that they are a more common drop...But the mid lvl monsters that drop them have become much easier to kill then they were in the past. Whips God Swords, Barrows brothers gear, all these things werent around when the half keys were created. They have been out since rs1 days.

I get loads from Fire Giants.
