Zierro
Possibly the worst idea in the music industry. :uhh: Sorry, I just think the composition behind the song should be up to the artist who made it in the first place. If they knew it would sound better that way, then they probably would've done it themselves. I'm sick of hearing the beginning of a good song and getting my hopes up just to find out it's the crappy remix version.
killerbeer0
Sometimes if you hear a remix first it sounds better to you than the original. (Heck, some even are) OH S***! He/she/it is back!
Th3_Crusader
I like remixes, alot of songs on "Smells Like Children" album by Marilyn Manson are remixes. A few are better then the originals but some are plain dumb. Majority of remixes I hear sound pretty good. (Mostly I like the beats)

Ouchy
Sometimes if you hear a remix first it sounds better to you than the original. (Heck, some even are) I agree with you on that one. Here is an example: Original: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZAu5ppg0c4k Remix: The remix sounds soo much better. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Forerunner
I can't really develop an opinion on remixes. They are separate songs from the original, even if it is built on the foundation of the original (if you can understand what I'm saying). It depends on the song itself. redhaloguy
Remixes really shouldn't be done as it is just another way to gain money or popularity. Remixes could be easily solved by somebody saying something in the studio or wherever they produced the song "I think it should be different". Bam No remixes needed.... If you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
How2PK
Possibly the worst idea in the music industry. :uhh: 1. Sorry, I just think the composition behind the song should be up to the artist who made it in the first place. 2. I'm sick of hearing the beginning of a good song and getting my hopes up just to find out it's the crappy remix version. Uh, this has got to be one of the stupidest things said in M&M for quite a while. 1. Why would you limit yourself like that? it's not like there is something to lose, only to gain. Also you can use certain songs for other purposes. 2. What if they don't know that it can sound better? The artist isn't exactly 'all-knowing'. 3. You are not alone on the world. warri0r45
Never really heard a remix that I liked. Come to think of it, I don't listen to much music which is likely to be remixed in the first place.
Zierro
1. Why would you limit yourself like that? it's not like there is something to lose, only to gain. Also you can use certain songs for other purposes. No, I've heard Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit remixes and the DJ's did nothing to add on to the appeal of the songs - only made them sound annoying by ruining the flow of the melody. It sounded like a skipping CD. That is losing something if you ask me. 2. What if they don't know that it can sound better? The artist isn't exactly 'all-knowing'. That's a good point. For example, I think Jimi Hendrix played some songs better than the originals. I just don't see it happening that much with remixes and most DJ's just throw random things together for the sake of being able to consider themselves a DJ. If the DJ were a musician who could compose his own music then it'd probably sound much better, but the majority of them don't have much musical talent at all. I guess you can just say that they don't have the same mentality as the person who gave birth to the music. 3. You are not alone on the world. You can never be too sure. :uhh:
How2PK
Then I think we can conclude that you it's not that you don't like remixes, but that you just don't like bad remixes. Which isn't that strange, it's the same as not liking bad music, actually. Case closed, I would say. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
Zierro
Yes, but the thing is I consider all the remixes I've ever heard to be bad. I'll keep on searching though. There has to be at least one good one out there. :)

laucha
Never liked the idea, i think it would be better if the artist ( or those who make the remixes ) make a new song instead of modifying an actual one. I'm not saying all remixes are bad, in fact there are ones that are actually much better than the original version, but still the majority of remixes make the songs worse.
