I personally like The Velvet one (if you live in the UK you know which one :D) For the Americans (and other nationalities) Velvet is a company which makes toilets roles I think. On the advert they have kinda funny music with the employees of the factory just riding into big sections of Velvet toilet roles (which are stacked up) on bikes and jumping of railings of the factory onto big setions of Toilets roles.

Yeah the vodafone ones are pretty good. I like the new anti smoking ad too (as i'm not a smoker it doesn't really affect me).

 

 

 

Basically it tells you facts about how smoking can prevent you from getting an erection, all the while on the screen you see 2 fingers in the shape of legs with a cigarette held in between them (i think we all know what this represents). As the advert goes on the cigarette gradually burns away until the ash drops off :lol:

I have seen quite a few funny commercials lately, but can't think of anyone in particular right now. The Geico commercial with the soap opera is funny. The guy's girlfriend just found out that he was cheating on her, and then he goes "I have some good news, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico." Then he gets slapped and goes "I thought you'd be happy for me!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another great commercial was during the Superbowl earlier this year. Budweiser I think it was. The two guys are on the plane with the door open, parachutes attached to their backs. The first guy is like "Jump!" and the second guy says something like "No! I can't do it!" Then the first guy goes "Would you do it for some Budweiser (Bud Light?)?" and throws a 6-pack out the door. The two of them stare at it falling down, and you hear heavy footsteps in the background getting louder and louder. All of a sudden, the pilot jumps off the plane after the beer, no parachute or anything. :lol:

...I remember watching that one and thinking, if it's an embarrassing subject (I think the voice-over mentions how lots of people don't talk about it because it's ebarrasing), then how is it going to help, giving the website a name like that :).

These days, thought, there are fewer good booze ads, what with the drinking culture, and their having to appeal to a completely different audience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There are still good ones, mind you: not only did I like that Guiness advert Surfer; but also I liked the new(er) joke version of that, where the surfers run into the water, then run back out because it's too cold.
