Misterknowitall
Seeing as Jagex is focusing on improving already existing features this year, it would make sense that they're going to finish up some of the older quest lines. I just hope its not a continuation of the Red Axe storyline. Those were terrible quests IMO. I think the next quest in that series will also involve Glouphrie, since the Red Axe has established a trade route with Arposandra.
Grimy_Bunyip
A cutscene near the end of the While Guthix Sleeps quest shows a human discovering the stone embedded in a stalagmite in a cave, with the name "Vanjute". (The name of the human differs for each player, for unknown reasons. Some variations include, Verisad, Vistola, and Vonjuta. The notable pattern is the name starting with "V" and being seven letters long.) ive been looking around and i finally found the wikia article on V------'s name, and it indeed varies between accounts. Any idea why they might be different between characters? different quest lines for different names? maybe our character actually is V------? it seems odd that jagex would randomize V's name
Sir_Squab
BTS February was a bitter sweet moment for me in terms of my love for quests. Bitter: No 150. Sweet: Anticipation of a quest that is like no other (WGS was a bit of a disappointment for me). I personally will look foward to either the next part of WGS as the storyline is amazing (just the boss and the puzzles were too easy to be called GM). A continuation of the Plague City quest plot would also be amazing. Lathas attacking both Asgania and Misthlain at once? Would be a very interesting idea. (Perhaps this is also when mobilizing army comes into play? Mobilize an army against Lucien or Lathas?) Speaking of Asgarnia, we still don't know who Asgarnia's King is... But I think the King of Asgarnia is most powerful; if we don't even know the penultimate letter of his middle name, nor do we know where he is, and considering that his castle/army/city is/are very interesting and well-made. Seriously, Lathas has 1 or 2 knights or ardougne next to him, and we know his city is easy to be sneaked into because of the elf that comes at the end of regicide, or something like that. Misthalin? pfft, only has about 5 (which are constantly being clobbered) level 20 guards in his castle courtyard. The duke of lumbridge just has a single lvl 2 man in his room (or is it the one beside him?). Personally, I got the impression that the white knights have seized power from Asgarnia's King, as the White Knights DO seem to do all the ruling. The White Knights are not actually as pure and honest as they claim to be...I beleive Bob the Cat says something about this. And I wonder if the variation on the name has anything to do with your fremenik name? ...And where does it say that the red axe has developed a trade route with Aprosandra? That is a very interesting piece of information. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.[spoiler=The rest of my sig. In the Forgettable Tale of the Drunken Dwarf your character bears witness to a meeting between Chaos Dwarves under the control of Red Axe and some gnomish warriors they say are sent from Arposandra, probably with intent to attack Keldagrim and seize control of the Consortium. They forget everything they see though, when an ogre shaman (there's an ogre shaman there too) wipes your memory.

What980
I'm sure this has been posted but I'll say it anyway. Has anyone noticed how the BTS did not have a quest? More proof of Jagex taking more time for another epic 50th?

halomaistro
its pretty obvious that its going to be a continuation of WGS, the quest wasnt enough to live up to how jagex advertised it. refer to the first page of this thread and youll see ;)
halomaistro
i mean jagex actually said this... Finally, we'd like to let you in on a little secret we're currently working on our highest level, longest, most exciting quest ever. Not necessarily for launch in '08 (it's not something we want to rush, after all), its already had more development time than the entirety of "Recipe for Disaster"... but youll have to wait to find out more. We're adding secret hints and references all the time about this one, so if you need to know more, just look around! Leave no stone unturned.... obviousy stone unturned referring to the stone of jas ;]
calum12
Not one mention in BTS.... I hope they wrap up Plague City series, I wrote a suggestion some time ago for the crystal halberd which that elf says she is working on. They could release that... Perhaps tie in with Glouphrie? I haven't done MEP2 or Path of Glouphrie, so correct me if I don't know enough of the storyline, but perhaps Arposandra is related to that blocked off crystal city? Technically, the elemental workshop door is a BODY door, not a soul door. Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably. diefladermas
You guys are thinking way to small, I got three words that will put this whole conversation to rest: Elemental Workshop 3 \ Elvarg the Magic Dragon, Lives by the sea... harbringerjm
You guys are thinking way to small, I got three words that will put this whole conversation to rest: Elemental Workshop 3 \ Already been suggested, repeatedly. Not a good idea, imho. Hail to The Great Big Penguin in the sky. And Guthix, of course.
diefladermas
I was being sarcastic....those are about the dumbest quests in the game, although I realize they had a point once... harbringerjm
They are far from the dumbest quests in the game, they still have a point, and they will no doubt be finished off sooner or later (Well, ok, given it's Jagex, it may not happen while any of us still live, but still), it's just not a good candidate for the 150th quest. Hail to The Great Big Penguin in the sky. And Guthix, of course.
yuriqiu
WGS sequel, Plague City sequel, Drunken Tales sequel... there are many options. Maybe Jagex expect everyone to talk about sequels so they will release a whole new quest? I'm actually really looking foward to learning more about Marimbo and Seren. There aren't a lot of information on those two gods except the fact that one is for elves and the other is for monkey. Suspense is annoying. Me_Hate_Libs
Cold war wouldn't be too bad, but seriously, for 150 it really should be something. And the opening up of Elven city would really deliver. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
