candychimp
I bet that's never occured with Firemaking..I mean who actually trains that skill without wanting to just train the level. Only exception i can think of is when you make a fire to cook fish, but that's like 1 fire for a load of fish, that's not going to get you 99. I_am_Geed
before jagex made all the level boosting ideas like that, people did have to get the levels naturally. we should all try to do the same

A friend of a friend (one of the higher f2pers - I don't know his name) got to about 80 firemaking that way. And also bear in mind that from 92 firemaking you can get an inferno adze which means you get fm xp as you woodcut... but yeah that only barely counts, and that still needs you to get to 92 in the first place. One of those people with 200M cooking experience could get it this way if they make fires with mage logs or something haha. walka92
lol HP is the only skill no one can train or grind away on simply because it is the only skill with no way to do so :P. wrong hp has pest control, and if your rich enough, chinning and bursting gives fast hp exp I believe he meant that HP is impossible to train alone. just like you cant train range/melee alone because your always getting hp exp. his point was grinding, and you can still grind hp I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come
SwreeTak
Yes, for combat skills I think that it could actually be quite common. For some non-combat skills like wcing and fishing it is also possible, even though it is far from as likely as with the combat ones. Myself I grind all the way though. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
zotto
I get that problem. "Nice >insert cape< ! How long did that take" Me "Thx, I dont know" or "Thx, 6 years or so" "lol" i actually say the same thing, but exchange 6 with 4 years. When did I start training that skill? Well, on tutorial island, or when I entered the cow patch in lumbridge.
