I bet a lot of people get 99 Runecrafting while trying to accumulate wealth.

I sort of got 99 hitpoints like that. I was training slayer and other melee stats, but ended up getting hitpoints first because my combat stats were all even. I knew exactly how close I was and stuff though.

I got 99 fletching before capes came out..

It was great money back then =P~ .

I also have 92 fishing, never really grinded at it except from 70-76.. :wall:

"To all you youngsters reading this, if you are under 25 STOP PLAYING THIS GAME RIGHT NOW. Life is to short and you are only that young once. Trust me when i say this, take advantage of the girls now. Once they are 25+ and have been around a few times they arnt dumb anymore, the fun is all over."

--BAHAHAHAHAHAH.

well i didnt get 99 before cape but i got to 95 fletching since it was good money before yews were 450ea and then i got 99 for cape he he

Getting a 99 combat skill while training slayer <- probably the most often occurring "inadvertent" 99.

Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3

I considered hitpoints when I posted this.. but I didn't include it because I figured you were grinding at some other combat skill, so hitpoints sort of counts.

But you're right, hitpoints is one skill.

Nemo vir est qui mundum non reddat meliorem..

I reached 99 woodcutting "naturally" as you put it. I had no level goals at that time, I simply was cutting yews in order to obtain money and the levels came. It was much more satisfying than grinding away at levels.

[spoiler=Stats:]Updated December 22, 2011:

Total level - 1442 - 170M+ XP , Combat level - 115

Combat skills: Attack - 90, Defence - 99 (24.45m+ XP), Strength - 90, Constitution - 99 (16.42M+ XP) Ranged - 99 (13.32M+ XP), Prayer - 60, Magic - 99 (13.25M+ XP)

Non-Combat skills: Cooking - 99 (13.80M+ XP), Woodcutting - 99 (31.95M+ XP), Fishing - 90, Firemaking - 99 (24.82M+), Crafting - 90, Smithing - 90, Mining - 85, Runecrafting - 60, Dungeoneering - 85

I've gotten quite a bit of firemaking xp while making fires for cooking on. That and fishing are the only times where I get xp without caring about xp.

I naturally got 99 hitpoints, and that's how I managed to get it untrimmed.

Not too hard to do mate.

um maybe defence for me i wasnt grinding it to 99 but all my 99s i knew i was close when i was 400k-500k away it was obvious i was getting a 99.

but i think after 99 exp is gotten more inadvertently like i almost have double 99 str and double 99 hp i got from training slay/summon.

i have 2.7 m after 99 firemaking exp from adze

i have 1m extra exp in cook and agil that i didnt grind

StarViv.png

I got to 65 fishing because I needed money and I was f2p and the trees were overrun by little bald men in green pants. Then I pushed myself a little bit for 68, but not much.

'Course, now I have better ways of making money and fishing is boring.

But my two highest skills (fishing and woodcutting, which are 71 and 66 respectively) got there because I wanted/needed money, not because i wanted to get exp.

Does using tears of guthix count? Because i have pretty much no choice but to get experience in Herby when I do tears of guthix... Heh, eventually I'd get all 99s with that... if i did it long enough... :ohnoes:

Balance may be power, but chaos is still pretty damn fun.

Canada can't be second rate, polar bears are their main mode of transportation.

Haha, right now I have 92 attack/strength from just doing slayer/gwd/mini-games, so really I never tried. I'm hoping to get them without having the urge to actually "try," but I'm fairly sure I'll be driven when I hit 98 in both, lol.

Nate's Big Blog

4,000th to 99 crafting, 33,340th to 99 defence, 3,867th to 99 farming, 55,293rd to 99 hitpoints

I got all my 99 skills except hitpoints to 99 without really tryinh for it. It just came along and ruined my hp cape

Friend of mine, Armstrader1, was trying to get 99 range, attack, defence, and strength. And accidently got HP without trying. :P

Doesn't really count though.

AvantGardeSignaturev3.png

while i did grind to get 99 hp, a large portion of it was just casual gaming. however since 99 i never grinded and im at 24.5m hp exp. therefore ive gained >13034431 [exp for 99] hp exp without really trying

if that counts

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

I'm pretty sure most smithers with 20 million experience and over have "unintentionally" achieved 99 magic :)

I got all melee 99's + 99 hp without actually aiming for them. The lvls just happened to pass by ::'

Polodevil.png

polozn.png

I did with magic.

Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)

Dagannoth kings drops: 73

Barrows item count: 51

GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)

Whips: 4

Sigils: 1x spectral (FFA), 1x arcane (FFA)

So I was thinking about how some players really grind away at levels to max it out. And I began to wonder if anyone ever reached level 99 in a skill.. without trying. No power leveling. Just playing the game casually. Well, maybe not casually.

I'm sure it's possible if someone started playing early enough..

This is how I play. I don't think I'll ever grind a 99. I just play the game and have fun

i got my 99 range from pkin, slayer assignments never power leveled it same goes for hp.

69er_is_best.png

GWD solo drops: Armadyl Hilt sold at 63.5m - (More to come hopefully)

All 4 of my Melee 99s came from Slayer as opposed to something like Bandits or Zombie Monkeys. Can't say the same for Range/Mage since I chinned and did a lot of Alchs at Heros Guild/Spirit Mages. Although I did do some Slayer and God Wars for Range. Prayer was just buy D Bones and altar them. And for Fletching I did Yew Longs before string x.

Lugia_Lvl138.png

4x Phat owner: Blue, Green, 2x Purple

3100+ GWD bosses soloed.

Solo GWD Drops:

5 Bandos Plates, 4 Bandos Boots, 3 Bandos Hilts, 2 Arma Helms, Arma Skirt, Arma Plate, 3 Arma Hilts, 4 Zammy Spears, Steam Staff, 15 Sara Swords, 6 Sara Hilts, 29 Shards.

Well, I'm sure there are many who did, except for some skills:

1.Firemaking (seriously, who would get 99 on that without trying?).

2.Crafting (as the highest level requirement is 90, I doubt someone actualy got to 99 without trying to, althought it is possible).

Well, I'm too tired to right down a whole list, you get the point.

I have not grinded at all. What I do depends on my mood.

I planned about getting 40 farming to do the pirate quests and get an anchor. However, I just happened to get the levels from Tears of Guthix :P This is what usually happens to me :P

Hitpoints, nuff said.

That's the first thing that came to my mind.

"Me? I got it...naturally..."

I can see someone getting 99 slayer like this. I got the slayer level I have now "naturally".
