mlskid
About how many ranarr herbs do you get for each seed?(just need an estimate on average seed). Summoning help:[hide=Wio, lol][/hide]
llamster
Like 6-7 if you have the magic secateurs. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
pinguimmaiden
It depends on your luck, but i get always 7+ :
mlskid
okay, so if I buy a lot of the seeds and then farm them with slayer will I make a decent amount of cash? MAYBE? :P And about how much will I profit each trip? (p.s. I will be using supercompost on the patches and doing three different herb patches at the same time.) kingmickez25
This is how i see it if i can get at least 5 herbs from a seed anything else is profit i get about 5-8 per seed but thats witch magic sectears but u have to caculate any dead seeds so if u made 2 extra herbs per each seed say u had 6 seeds 6 seeds = 5 herbs each seed (+2 herb extra) but one of the seeds died u have to get at least 5 herbs from your profit seeds (any herb u got after the 5th herb from a seed) to cover the cost of that seed U make money from this way of farming but go invest in the secters if u dont already have they make a huge differnce u dont have to use super compost on trollhelm patch unless u gather your herbs every hourish
pinguimmaiden
Ranarr seed = 25k Ranarr week = 6k If you get 7 every patch you will get 42k-25k=17k profit *6 patches=102k made per run. Its great cash tbh ;)
mlskid
Yeah, I have gotten extremely lucky so far with harralander farming. None of my plants died (thank god) on my way from 27 farming to 32. With supercompost all the way. Anyway, yeah I see what you're saying about the dead plants and all. I already have the magic secateurs. I love randomly questing. lol Yeah, I had heard it was REALLY good cash but I was just trying to make sure. Bashful
(p.s. I will be using supercompost on the patches and doing three different herb patches at the same time.) why only 3 patches? there's 5 out there. 4 if you havent done My Arm's. Use all of them. Especially the Falador one if you've the Lvl2 Shield.

But thinking about it, maybe I should do them all. lol  Summoning help:[hide=Wio, lol][/hide]

Intriguing
The average when using Magic Secateurs and Super Compost (including deaths) is around 6.5. At least that's what I've heard. Cool.
cat666
I heard it's better to switch to snapdragons when you can too. More XP and more profit. Also plant a marigold at each allotment as you go, 12k extra per run. Trust the Gene Genie!
transcript80
Yes, don't forget marigolds! The reason I use only 3 patches is that 2 of them have a free teleport to them (Falador and Port Phasmathys), and usually I can hold the produce of tose 3 patches in 1 inventory. I bank at Catherby. I find Trollheim to be out of the way, and not worth the 2 laws costing teleport for "low" level seeds like toadflax. When I have High-level/expensive seeds (ranarr, snapdragon and up) I use the Trollheim patch. For the regular toadflax I always use Falador, Port and Catherby. In Catherby I pick my coconuts for the day, buy pineapples to make supercompost and seaweed for glass making every once in a while. I rarely use the Ardougne patch since it is out of the way. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
Zaaps1
If you factor in deaths, on average each seed yields 6.7 ranarrs with supercompost and magic seculars. ~It's Super Effective! cat666
If you factor in deaths, on average each seed yields 6.7 ranarrs with supercompost and magic seculars. On the topic of deaths: Make sure your first herb patch is protected by the amulet of nature. Not only does this warn you if it does disease but it also features as an alarm as to when your next round can start. My Arm's patch does not disease ever, as My Arm looks after it for you. So use that. A common tactic for the less rich is to use the first patch and My Arm's patch for ranarrs, and the other 3 for lower valued seeds, like Toadflax. Then switch to all ranarrs once you have a stash of money. Trust the Gene Genie!

If you only bind the first, you might be able to harvest the first 2, but the last ones would still be growing. And of course, when you can grow better herbs, switch ranarrs for kwuarms and snapdragons. ~It's Super Effective!
