February 11, 200917 yr It would be great to have more interaction from Jagex using social networking sites...It is very possible that they may start using Twitter and Youtube more often after what the new CEO said. However, the barely even advertise these things on the site; I believe it got a brief mention of the forums... Also, maybe they will ACTUALLY PUT AN RSS FEED onto the site...
February 13, 200917 yr I think it would be a good idea if they gave out previews. Would be cool to see some sneak peaks. yeah it would be :D
February 13, 200917 yr Would be an interesting idea. With this new ceo, who knows, maybe it might happen? "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
February 13, 200917 yr id like to see some updates in video style. Gamertag: EFs Predator.Games I play: Halo 3, Halo wars.
February 13, 200917 yr I wouldn't mind that to be honest because it will give them free advertising as well as the ability to show their players interesting previews.
February 14, 200917 yr Someone suggested that Jagex make a video of the chickens killing jad, A J-mod replied and said they were gonna likely do it and they loved the idea.
February 14, 200917 yr Someone suggested that Jagex make a video of the chickens killing jad, A J-mod replied and said they were gonna likely do it and they loved the idea. That would be even more epic than the video of the guy killing Jad with only rings of recoil and no prayer. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
February 14, 200917 yr Lots of good video upload sites out there. Of course, none compare to Youtube (what with the new HD feature out there :D ), but still... Gametrailers Vimeo Google Video (this one can support videos of unfathomable length, like feature-length movies and whatnot). Google Video won't allow uploads in a few months, they're discontinuing support for it. Doesn't google own youtube? Everytime I am accessing youtube I always see it accessing google video... OT: Meh I'm happy being in the dark until the day they release something, it's like Christmas, but even better because I don't even know when it's going to happen. Unless they say it in Behind the Scenes, but they usually only drop really small unhelpful hints in those lol.
February 14, 200917 yr You mean like the teaser trailers most Developers make months before making a new game? Cos i'd love to see something like that
February 14, 200917 yr well sorry to disapoint you guys, but theres no behind the scenes anymore remember? that's cause it'll make stress and really bad deadlines for jagex, they don't want that. won't the vids will make them ubber-stress and later ubber-failing? could be good, but will make updates worse, so... FAIL -.-
February 14, 200917 yr well sorry to disapoint you guys, but theres no behind the scenes anymore remember? that's cause it'll make stress and really bad deadlines for jagex, they don't want that. won't the vids will make them ubber-stress and later ubber-failing? could be good, but will make updates worse, so... FAIL -.- I disagree. They're discontinuing behind the scenes not only because they don't want to set deadlines that they may not meet, but because they can't tell players exactly how the update is going to be so people make their own assumptions and then are disappointed when the update doesn't meet those assumptions. We are going to be bringing back Development Diaries but making them more regular and focused on some of the different projects we're currently working on for you. These will replace Behind the Scenes, which we have found a creative constraint on our developers as the promised content has to come out as communicated in order to avoid disappointment and prevented us from surprising you with better or different content. It has also led to compromises in quality that we've not been happy with and, most importantly, pieces of content being released which you, our players, have not enjoyed as much as you should. Having video previews of updates would show players exactly what is happening in the update and how the creative process is coming along, and it would also be easier for players to give their input with suggestions on how to make it better. February 14, 200917 yr i think this would be gr8 and would be much better to understand what they are planning for the future go idea
