Dax
Are they permanent protectors of Herb/Allotment patches as long as they're in there? Or do their effects die after the first lot? #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
Imamonkey
I really don't know, but I would say as long as they are planted they should be working their magic? That would make sense to me. But that is just a guess.

AlexDT
I haven't had a single strawberry patch die after planting them, and I've planted about 200 seeds. I'd say it's permanent.
cat666
I heard from a 99 farmer (she got 99 after the lilies) that they worked for ever. I will definitely be using them as and when I start farming again. Trust the Gene Genie!

It'd actually be even cheaper just to supercompost the strawberries and let 10% of them die. :geek: Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
lordkafei
You only need to plant the lilies once. They protect forever. So you go to the GE, buy 4 skins / claws and trade them. Your allotments are then protected forever (once the lilies grow to maturity). No more farmer payments. Sounds pretty cheap to me. It's a crying shame they don't protect herbs (the only crops I grow now). That would crash farming and Herb (more then it already is) I think jagex made a oppise instead of when u pick the flower it was supposed to when u harvest your alloment but i could be wrong

Remember that only 1/10 herb plants die anyway, so going from 90% to 100%, while significant, is hardly enough to make everything crash. And if you stopped using supercompost, it wouldn't even increase your profits because of the reduced yields. Besides, relatively few herb farmers will have done the Falador hard tasks anyway; the requirements are fairly demanding.
