February 18, 200917 yr So i have always been into the Swedish/folk/finish/ metal, bands such as: Fintroll, TrollFest, Ensiferium, Imperanon, Dark tranquility, any of the bands from those places are amazing. Always been a fan of the way it sounds, its not your typical metal sound. Anyone know some more bands? from those areas, or sound like the bands i listed? I know of a few more but not a whole lot.. I left out a couple who you should already know (Darkthrone, Satyricon, Dark Funeral etc) (Bathory - Don't know if you know them or not, but they were/are very important). Edit: Right, maybe you want some death too. Dismember (seen them live, probably my favorite dm band), Vomitory, Unleashed, Sentenced (not dm on their later albums, still very good), Opeth, Satariel, Arch Enemy, Hypocrisy, Entombed, Grave, Bloodbath, Darkthrone (first album), The Crown, At The Gates, Katatonia (early), Meshuggah, Zonaria. Paul and Sean are easily the two main members of that band, and they're American. It's an American band.
