That would be like me challenging you to get 99 cook with trout, sure you can do it easily but it is completely inefficient. You can easily make more money doing different things, and you can get 10x more mining xp an hour doing granite, so that was a complete waste. Im not going to waste my time mining essence slowely, and not using my summoning to assist me. I would rather get more 99's, which you won't be anywhere near for a LONG time if you think mining essence is a good method to gain xp or money.
