Wolverine lives a mutant life, seeks revenge against Victor Creed (who will later become Sabretooth) for the death of his girlfriend, and ultimately ends up going through the mutant Weapon X program.

 

 

 

I was so excited when I first heard rumors of this movie like a year or two ago. Then just the other day, I saw an ad in the paper that it's coming out May 1st. Other than that, I feel like I haven't seen it advertised at all :P

 

 

 

I think it looks great though :thumbsup:

Maybe it's because I visit a few comic sites, but I have seen this advertised everywhere over the past few months.

 

 

 

Glad they are showing Wolverine pre-Weapon X with bone claws. Also I think they cast Deadpool pretty well, but don't know if I like him not being disfigured. His whole character is based around him getting cancer, going to Weapon X, getting shot up with some Wolverine healing factor and his body and mind going crazy with it. I'm guessing what they are showing is before he got the treatment, but that would mean no healing factor, no craziness and shouldn't have any weapons skills.

Yeah it could definitely just be me :P I don't watch that much TV or go to that many movies, so for all I know there could be tons of advertisements. But I do usually see at least a few ads (or at least hear them from the other room), but I haven't seen any for this movie yet. But again, maybe it's just me :lol: Oh and on another note, the website is AWESOME!! :shock: I'll add the link to the first post.

 

 

 

Anyway, my boyfriend and I are seeing it the day it comes out :P

May will be a good month for sci-fi fans. This and Star Trek are on my list of movies to see on day one. I've seen both trailors (sp?), and it looks awesome. :thumbsup:

I've seen trailers and advertising for this moving for a while too; and I have to say I'm really interested in how they handle Gambit... it's pre x-men era so i'd have to assume Gambit is working for ah... Mister Sinister still.. makes me wonder how many of the Marauders will end up on screen :ohnoes:

Ooh, nice. One of the most intruiging characters of Xmen, there's a whole load of background still yet to be discovered with Wolverine. I wonder if they will work on other characters :) .

You'll probably find that Charles and Erik have a bit of path crossing when it comes to the X-men Origins: Magneto movie. Or should anyways.

 

 

 

Edit: Given a quick look at the 'always correct' IMDB when it comes to 'in production' movies; you really wont need a movie for Charles after Erik since the two of them essentially go from ally-> enemy. The only miss will be Charles' youth. Depends where they chose to pick up Erik's life.

I think Xavier's Korean tour + brother in law (Juggernaut) was before he met Magneto. His battle with Lucifer and subsequent paralyzing is probably the only other back story of Xavier's worth mentioning. Unless you want to show him in the womb killing his twin Cassandra Nova.

Didn't use him enough? He was the main character in the X-Men movies.

i know, all im saying is i hope they have more fight scenes in origins. :thumbup:

I'm cautiously optimistic for this film.

 

 

 

It definitely has the opportunity to be awesome, but if the people in charge (FOX) muddle up the script, it could be a disaster.
