im currently doing about 50 trips to the chaos tunnels and killing green dragons for money. after this i should have a sufficient amount of money to buy what i need :P

Armoured Zombies are in the dungeon you find them in during Defender of Varrock.

You have a choice of setups, all of which benefit from having slave ammy (e) due to the monsters being undead

Option 1: Defensive Tank

Relies on tanked out defence bonuses such as torags.

Can be worked with either food or bunyip for healing.

Top prayer choice is piety

Option 2: Void Knight

Wearing void knight melee gear you can hit hard, very hard.

With this method you are likely to take damage too fast for a bunyip so you either want a good food supply & piety prayer

OR

Protect prayers

Option 3: Prayer tank

Wear prayer armour and use piety and protect prayers

The dungeon is right by an altar so prayer pots aren't needed

Games necklace to BH for banking and to clan wars for running in

It's v low cost and easy to do great xp rate and decent drops.

I personally recommend picking up:

Oak planks (noted)

Teak planks (noted)

Pure Ess (noted)

Runes

Charms

High end Herbs

Addy Kite sheilds

salve and void doenst stack.. so make a combination of option 1 and 3:

full bandos is best.. if your short on money just use prosy platebody + verac legs.. you should be fine.. always pray piety and use super sets.. bunyip helps alot..

edit: get prayer 70 first lol... this will increase your xp/hr, and get an enchanted salve ammy if you dont have

Bandos is a waste of money. Use Barrows; better stats and cheaper.

Bunyips are basically a must, they make it so much better there. Piety helps loads, and the altar nearby is nice.

Super sets... I'd use them.

Thank you so much.

I was looking into this not long a go as most guides use both in the same setup and couldn't find a straight answer anywhere. People where saying one boost attack/strength the other accuracy/damage which they were arguing are 2 different things so they stacked  .

If you want further evidence.

I am training defence there.

I have 81 str,

Using void set, defensive style, piety prayer, abyssal whip, slave ammy (e), beserker ring, d boots.

I fairly often hit 30 - 32 and have hit some 33 and 34's

Check tip.its max hit calc.

No salve ammy but void set = 30 max hit

No void set but ammy = 31 max hit

Both = 34 max hit

Logic dictates, therefore, the effects are stacking as I have hit both 33 and 34 on occasion and several 32's. If they don't stack my hits would cap out at 31

Tassets are junk compared to Verac's but I'd consider the chestplate to be superior to Torag/Guthan/Dharok plate. Armoured zombies barely hit anything so you really don't need the defence bonus. Besides, repair costs for plate alone eats 3k off your profit/hour.

And bunyip doesn't make that much of a difference since, as I said, they are very weak.

If you get 70 prayer for piety and haven't done Knight Waves yet, you should buy guthans, ~5 super restores, a super set + maybe an extra super attack potion, tuna potatoes (or manta rays), and fill the rest up with the best gear you can get. This makes it SO much easier.

Bunyip DOES make a difference, a BIG difference. It makes it afkable, if you really want to pick up bones all day and cast bones to peaches, it's up to you, but I'd rather bring more pots with bunyips. Say, (I'm not sure, I used bunyips and didn't measure damage) they hit a average of 5 damage per minute, those 5 damage may look small but it piles up, fast. I have tried no bunyip pouches to armoured zombies before, even though enhanced excalibur healed me, there have been times when I nearly rol'd when there were chains of hits. And I have 80 defence in torags + other barrow armour with similar stats.

5 damage per minute means you can camp for an hour on just 14 pineapple pizzas, without excalibur or regen or anything (with either one of those you only need a couple pieces of food to last for several hours) B2P is absolutely not worth it here; it'd be more efficient to just pray melee.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

14 Pineapple pizzas=7k gp+having to check in often.

1 Bunyip=2k gp+almost afkable.

Clear choice no?

Bunyips heal 352 damage once they run out and they're cheaper than pizzas. Plus it only takes up one space and heals for you so you don't have to even pay much attention.

Why are you trying to argue that something that costs more, requires more attention, and more inventory space is better?

Because somewhere along the line he got his information mixed up. Always best to try something out yourself, instead of relying on what others tell you.

I have seen alot of people at Armored Zombies without a Bunyip and they have to bank relatively quickly (every 20 minutes...) The Bunyip allows you to stay forever (barring you don't want non-stackable drops) Personally I only stay the length of one bunyip (43 minutes.. ? something close to that) and then bank to maximize the total GP earned as I didn't have to get rid of any unstackable drops and I still got 70-80k exp/hour. That's just me though.

As for the OP and the question of what set-up you should use.

This is what my invent looked like (focus on the left hand picture, the right is what it looked like after the trip was over the previous trip though)

As for what I wore it was something like this:

Nezzy Helm

Prosy top

Prosy legs

Salve Ammy (e)

Barrow gloves

Dragon boots

Whip + Defender

Warrior ring

Defence cape (untrimmed)

Ill post a picture later if you want.. but right now I can't seem to get onto RS.. the start screen won't even load for me.. :x
