If you are going for max trip length make sure you start bringing Anti++ and learn to do the trip without using like any prayer, I have done a few 6 hour trips now and I have had 3 trips which got me 15M+ loot. You really never need any pots whatsoever besides 1-2 restores for the ponys. Yea I used anti (++) but i only brought 4. Didn't feel like doing the whole lot in one go.. too much effort. Funny thing is - when i went back for the last 40 or so i got *no* other drops lol. A little worried about my helm\spear\ring, but it was no biggie... I logged back in at 99 HP.
