Handedness and Technology

Left handed people were considered evil demon spawn in the middle ages, you could be put to death for it.

I don't believe you. There's too many lefties in the world for people to consider it abnormal.

I'm a 'rightie', as one guy I know calls me, and I'm all about maths and science, and I have the creative capacity of a walnut. The 'left handedness correlates with creativity' theory might well be true, and if it is, it's got something to do with the hemispheres of the brain.

I think this might very well be correct.

Because my grandfather (moms), who was born in... 1918/20 something, was left handed. He had to learn to write with right hand too, because it was considerd "abnormal". So later on, he was able to write with both hands.

I may be sounding like a prat, but I don't think there is actually a correlation between left-handers being incredibly good at what they do, or being technologically fluent so to speak. it just happens to be a sheer coincidence. Being left-handed makes absolutely no difference to how well you perform tasks, if you get the job done, you get it done.

So whether being a lefty or a righty, in my opinion does not affect your ability in such tasks. The person who controls the hands yes, but not the hand style.

However, I think I'm becoming ambi-dextrous since moving into my new house, which is basically a left handers home, everything suits left handers (stair banisters, doors, locks) it took some time to get used to. Also now I'm paractising yo-yoing with my left hand... But I should master the right hand first when it comes to yo-yoing

I'm left handed and people always said I was very smart and logical, but my dads even smarter and like...logicial than me and hes right handed so looks like I got it from him, and has nothing to do with handedness.

No, it's true - sinister actually means left-handed. It's also true that parents would force their children to be right-handed, to go along with the norm.

Anyway, I'm right-handed, and happen to have a very keen knowledge of computers and technology. I'm interested in both hardware and software, but I take a better shine to the software side.

Most things, I find, are designed for righties. Scissors tick me off, and often computer mice are righty exclusive (though I, being fairly ambidextrous, use my right hand for the sake of my sanity). I guess you just learn to deal.

OH S***! He/she/it is back!

as a side note this came about because durring the middle ages most swordsmen were right handed and only trained on other right handed opponents. however when a left handed swordsmen came around people were usually not prepared to fight them and were most of the time beaten. this is why left handed people were considered demons.

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
