lordseath
how many p pots would it take to kill 79 steel drags? i havent done smokeing kills so i cant block/skip this task yet.and wat would be a good alternative to initiate/proselyte cuz i didnt do that quest either =/
Friendyboy
You wont like this, but do the quest for proselyte. It is not difficult at all. If not, I would take as many as yu can carry, minus a few for monks, and 2 super sets. Trial and error tbh. Worst thing that happens, you have to bank. Not much of a problem, as you will know better the next time. mark
just use slayer darts with anti fire pots/sheild. They dont hit. I'd say you need around 1.5 - 2k death runes and 10 4 does antifire pots... Remember it doesnt matter what you wear, it will hit the same
Draconic
If you haven't done Smoking Kills, you should just Burthope it. It will take you all day to kill them. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.

cookie1762
You have high magic, just use fire wave on them. Don't use slayer dart, that doesn't hit near as high as fire wave. I mage irons and steels all the time for slayer. Anti fire pots and anti dragon sheild is so much cheaper than prayer pots anyways. http://sign.tip.it/1/6/24/304/lady_scm.png Drops/Clue Finds:Shield left half: 1,Dragon plateskirt: 1, Warrior's Helm: 1, Obsidian Cape: 1, Robin Hood Hat: 1, Dragon Platelegs: 1, Dragon Boots: 4, Amulet of Ranging:

True, but blood runes are MUCH more expensive than the prayer pots would be. If you go to mage, you can use either slayer dart or fire wave; I've done both and both are effective. Wear mage gear, bring a lot of anti-fires, and go nuts. Also bring laws / airs for telegrab, because you can get banged up running into the mix to pick stuff up. Worse yet, an iron dragon can "claim" you if you are maging steels, and that will waste your time. If you are meleeing, wear the following: Whip Anti-dragon (or better yet, dragonfire) Black mask or slayer helm Proselyte top Proselyte bottom Dragon boots Fury, or glory if you don't have one Fire cape > Trimmed Cape > Untrimmed/Quest cape Ring of wealth, slayer ring, berzerker ring. Completely your choice. For inventory, bring: 2 of the 4-dose super str and super atk pots. 6 of the 4-does anti-fire pots Karamja gloves (gets you back to shilo and gets free entrance to brimhaven) DDP++ Bronze axe from brimhaven pirate bar (drop once you reach metals) 12-17 4-dose prayer pots. 77 is a load; you'll probably have to break it into two trips. Steels take forever.
vettro
I recently ranged a task. It took FOREVER! Maybe 3 hours for 80. I would skip it or maybe mage it with chaos gauntlets.

Seraphi
Do smoking kills and slug menace. Do them ASAP. just use slayer darts with anti fire pots/sheild. They dont hit. Slayer dart IS affected by magic bonus, people only believed that it wasn't because the only monsters it was used on were incredibly low magic defense(barrows and dagannoth rex)
