I watched that quick look, DarkDude, and had to keep reminding myself that this wasn't a game from [bleep]ing 1998. I mean I figured that halo was generic enough, right? This game makes halo look like a one of a kind game...

 

 

 

Really though when your entire level is built around 3 or 4 prebuilt "areas", just with some different gas canisters (because we all know these are important in an airport) and luggage around, you know it's not going to be anything good. Man, goldeneye had better level design than this.

Dude, multiplayer is beast. But I can't seem to get Wii Speak to work :-k I'll try and ix it later.

I might pick it up if I can get it at a discounted price. It's not worth the $50 to me.

I'm cheap with all my games. ;) Almost every Xbox game I have gotten I got at a sale or during a buy 2 get 1 free sale at Gamestop. I have plenty of games that I am planning on getting for my Wii and my Xbox 360 when they drop in price, I just don't have the money to spend $200 a month on new games.

The way Conduit is made I highly doubt one weapon will be overpowered since you use 1 set in 1 game and vote which it is.

 

However I would like it if not everyone voted for MG's and SMG's cause that [cabbage]s me off.

I actually dislike this game. Explosives set is awful, and so is Near/Far. Didnt play with any others.

 

 

 

The game is just weird to me. I actually prefer WaW to this.

This better be worth my money :P Getting it now.

Wish I had the money - All I've heard has been good (unless you own a 360/PS3/PC in which case this game is pretty sub-average - but I don't!).

Is the single player experience good, and how long is the single player?

The single-player gameplay is horrible. I finished all 9 missions in less than three hours, and that was with me running around and killing everything I saw, backtracking to find things I missed, etc. (I did not find all the hidden messages or Trust Data Disks however, nor do I really want to go through all that "kill this then run over here and kill that then kill this" crap again.)

 

 

 

On the other hand, I thought the storyline was pretty cool for as long as it lasted. Oh, and the multiplayer is beast tbh.

That review is by the same dude that was acting like a total [developmentally delayed] with the controls in the Quick Look video Darkdude posted. It (the video) made me want to bash my head against a wall.

 

 

 

The game looks pretty disappointing though, and since the best aspect appears to be the multiplayer and I have no wireless connection I think I'll pass.

You either get the controls or you don't. Yeah, Jeff doesn't play a lot of Wii but you still shouldn't have to fumble around so much. He did say it got a bit better after a while (control wise).

Great game, but the Carboniser seems semi broken - but needs good reaction speed and accuracy :)

It has already been easily hacked, and these hacks let people do anything from Unlimited Ammo, Unlimited HP, No Reloads, Rapid Fire, to things like depleting your ammo. This game will be ruined soon online because of this.

 

 

 

The reason this game was hacked is that the code for the game was left in a text file on the published disk. Pretty stupid.

And if it works that way then I guess they will fixit.

Jeff touches on it in that video but I have to agree and reiterate, I hate that people have gotten to the point of saying "Well, it's good for a Wii game". People wonder why the Wii doesn't have many solid third person offerings, I think this is the reason why. Why bother trying if people are going to think it's good because, well, it's on a Wii so we can cut it some slack right? If anything it should be held to the highest standard because it is the most popular of the 3 consoles.

I know that earlier in the thread I bashed it for being a Wii FPS, claiming that it would suck. Although IMO it IS pretty bad, I thought for a moment that it could actually be decent. I think it's because the commercial reminded me of old PS2 games, in a good way.

Well time and time again the third party offerings seem to suggest that the Wii is not a real, good, gaming console. I mean if they want to be taken seriously third party providers need to step it up and stop making excuses.
