Tahvo
Have you see Dr. Horrible's Sing-along blog? I saw it at a New years party, saw it again at a cast party for a play, and i love it. Although musicals aren't the most "accepted" thing, i enjoy them thoroughly. By "accepted" i mean most people i know don't like musicals/think i'm "gay" if i watch them. What are your thoughts on Musicals? Starcraft 2 - PCTahvo.617. Message me if you want to play, always up to play with fellow Tifers.
How2PK
What kind of musicals? Movies, or the stage type of stuff? Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
Lenticular_J
I guess both. Mainly movies, I'd think. Some of my favorite movies are musicals. No man is gay for liking Grease. Or Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-blog, as the case may be. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

indy500fan
I thought I made a topic about Dr. Horrible back in July when it came out, but apparently I only mentioned it in the last movie and last ordered topics (=77&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search]search results). But yeah, I love Dr. Horrible. Most musicals can be enjoyable, but I don't know where exactly the line is drawn between musical and a movie with original songs in it performed by the characters. For example pretty much every Disney movie could be considered a musical since they have a few songs in them. So depending on how you classify I've seen only a few or quite a few musicals. How2PK
I love musicals, the movies at least. and more , more , girl hunting, , and there's so much more. A lot of people just watch stuff like the Sound of Music and then say they hate musicals, but the busby berkeley, vincente minnelli, gene kelly stuff etc. are among the best movies ever made. Mr_Adam
My friend is making me see her theater group musical, so that's where I'll be Friday (or Saturday). The school theater also has one coming up, and I'll get extra credit for going... so I might as well. I don't mind musicals, but it depends on the songs. A well-done adaptation of The Wall or Scenes From A Memory would be nice =P~
Tahvo
[hide=][/hide] Yeah, I don't really watch musicals. that's pretty close-minded of you. there's more musicals than "high school musical" out there. Alg
I don't mind musicals, but it depends on the songs. A well-done adaptation of The Wall or Scenes From A Memory would be nice =P~ I think this has been done. When they toured for it, Waters was acting as the role of Pink, if I'm not mistaken. Plus, they did a movie. No idea about Scenes though. Read that one show did have actors though. Only musical I've seen was The Music Man, during the OSF. Wasn't bad, I admit. Althalus
Jesus Christ Superstar is the only musical I can stand watching (both live and the 1970s (I think) movie version). Any other musical and it gets to be too much.

Sir_Redhead
I'm a rather large fan of musicals. My favorites are Jekyll & Hyde, Les Mis, and Big River. We did Seussical at my high school, that was fun. The musicals I've been in so far are... Sound of Music (Rolf) Hello Dolly! (Cornelius) and Seussical (Horton) I love singing in them, as broadway songs tend to agree with my vocal abilities better than most things. At my schools caberet concert, I'll be singing Confrontation from Les Mis with a friend, and Man of Lamancha from.....Man of Lamancha lol But yea....Musicals ftw! Gained first quest cape on 3/22/09!
