Alot of blogscapers don't have a blog anymore (such as myself) because I spent the time to create a nice blog and no posts were made. Useless. :thumbdown: :thumbdown:

 

 

 

I did post 12 days ago. I have been keeping my achievements on it. I just haven't felt like posting on my blog lately, as I haven't been doing much lately, besides farming. Plus on top of it all, I have been in the Blogscape community for a long time now. It's basically the only place I post on Tif. I've also been with the chat since the first week of clan chats.

 

 

 

Regarding I'm only posting because I'm winning? It's really a bold move to say that, considering that I am in a tough position right now, I have a commanding lead in the poll, I have gotten quite a bit of negative feedback from friends, including accusations and insults towards me. I've just been trying to make this thread friendly since one wrong post could turn it the wrong way.

 

 

 

All in all, I just felt very offended by your comment was all, but I would not like to argue or anything.

Regarding the chat name... I'm kind of half and half with whether to create an account for it, or not. I realize the benefits of the new account, don't get me wrong. But at the same time, I preferred typing in EMR's name than the generic chat names. It just seemed more realistic to me. Plus, a few people have already commented on just typing in my name... Either way, I'm thinking about it a lot, just not sure yet.

 

 

 

Plus, I've always wanted a chat under my name haha. But, I'll be thinking about it. I might try my name at first, and if any problems occur with that, then use a different account for the chat.

 

 

 

Those would be my plans if I were to win, that is. I'm getting these kind of questions often enough where it seems like people are digging that I've won already into my brain :( Ugh. Lol, anyways, good luck to my opponents still!

The owner is just ONE person. The whole chat is about the community, not the owner. The owner doesn't change the community. Sure, the owner might have different rules than that of the previous owner, but I imagine codguy's rules will be generally the same as evil_mumm_ra's.

look, to everyone complaining about "omg it should only be escers voting" no. the clan chat i ran was for the blogscape community. thusly, i put the poll here for a few reasons. #1 where the hell am i gonna find a place that only escers can vote at? #2 i'm out of touch with the community and their favorite people in the chat, i wouldn't have known who to pick, and didn't want to cause any disturbances there just because someone had a problem with the leader. #3 if something goes wrong with the new leader, let me know, we'll work something out to get a new more qualified leader.

i never even had a blog, i barely ever even posted in this forum. the old bsc chats were my link to this community. there is no dictated way to hand down a clan chat, that falls completely under the owner's on jurisdiction, as such i chose to do it this way as there wasn't a better option. as for manipulation, i've heard about some other people on the list trying to get irc rooms to vote for them, or other clan chats to vote for them, but i haven't heard anything about codguy. besides, manipulation is useless, if i can verify it i'll just disqualify that person anyway.

I do agree that you don't need a blog to run this since that was Evil's situation, however I also think that the vote should be an open vote and not an anonymous one.

 

There's around 100 votes now, who are these people? They have nothing to do with the chat and certainly don't know who to pick as a host, like Aslan (2noob4you1) stated before this is more like a popularity contest.

 

 

 

Make a new poll, make everyone post their vote instead of entering it in a machine and manage it manually. That way we'll be sure that the people voting actually care about who the next host becomes and aren't just voting for their friends.

I just hope the best person gets picked :) Whoever it is will do a great job, I know it :)

The owner has quite a lot of power over the community, he/she can decide who gets banned, generaled, on which account it will be hosted etc. I can assure you, it can go wrong.

 

 

 

Regarding you not seeing why people get so hung up over this.

 

We'd like to have a host which isn't a complete moron and that we can get along with that person (you don't want to spend time in a chat which is lead by a [puncture]). The best way to achieve this is by voting for the person which you think qualifies most for that task. To make this decision you must also know the other contenders' qualities. Lets say that of the 100 votes here 50 aren't chat regulars and probably don't know any of the contestants ( I think I'm being generous there, actually ), that means that around 50 of the votes had no valid base.

 

 

 

Now, I'm not saying any of the leading aspiring-owners are not qulified, I'm merely saying that if they are really up for it then why not let the people who can probably judge them best and will have to deal with them weekly/daily decide, and only them? We'll have a host we're comfortable with and the owner will be comfortable with the thought of having the full support of the chatters.

 

 

 

If you can't understand this then I think you have nothing to do on this thread or in this poll.

 

 

 

And Evil, I'm sure you could find out who's a reliable source with a little effort, I'd be willing to give you a list of names of chatters I regularly see in here as I'm sure others/other generals will.
