Featured Replies

HI, so i decided to stop this thread just cuz people are obvouisly annoyed taht i asked it so. Here is something to ponder "how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood."

Getting any skill to 99 is an accomplishment.

Certainly is an accomplishment!

While it may not rank up there with runecrafting or mining, 99 fishing is a fantastic achievement. You need to spend a -lot- of time fishing, and for most the temptation to leave and do other stuff (whatever that may be) is simply too strong.

Well, it shows how much you like watching videos and stuff while playing rs. Sure takes a while, but it's not my kind of skill tbh. I like to be actively involved when playing runescape.

Hi, I got to think the other day, i am level 96 in fishing and i'm on a fishing rampage to 99. As i get closer i start feeling like this is one of the easiest skills to get to 99. Yes it takes a long...and i mean long time to get to it but it takes very little determination because i can go on websites, like this for instance, and do other things like blog, chat, or just read topics. Other skills require your full undivided attention. So do i have a right to feel like a worked for this 99 or is it just an easy skill to get to 99?

If you put your goal as getting 99 fishing, then yes, no matter what anyone says it is an accomplishment. It doesn't matter if its Fletching, Prayer, Summoning, Fishing, or Construction. What matters is the time and effort you put into your work that you personally have a goal set for.

Do not expect people to admire you or hold you in respect because of a goal you reached, because it is your goal, and not theirs. Every level 99 skill has the same level of respect as any other activity in Runescape.

So to answer your question...

If your getting the 99 because you like the skill and enjoy the goal, then nobody's opinion matters anyway and it will be an accomplishment for you.

If your getting 99 to get fame and "respect" for doing a more difficult skill, you are going to be disappointed when you find out that "respect" does not really exist past your 5 minutes of fame.

I multi task while doing anything so multitasking while fishing doesn't devalue my 99 fishing. Yes i'll even multitask while i'm fighting high leveled monsters.

If it makes you feel like you've accomplished something, then yes, it is an accomplishment.

After all, do you play this game for yourself or for those around you?

can we please stop making these threads?! A 99 is a 99. treat it as if you accomplished it.

Yes.

Can we stop having all these threads? Is 99 X an accomplishment...

If you think it's an accomplishment then it is, who are we do dictate what is or isn't?

Right! A 99 is a 99, god damn it!

An accomplishment is an accomplishment if you feel like it is, people can't just deicde what is and what is not.

it's a waste of time unless you've maxed combat already.

combat > skills

What is an accomplishment? A result brought by through effort. Yes, it is an accomplishment. Collecting 1 gp is an accomplishment. Now whether it is a good one or not is up for debate but that's subjective so it would be a crappy debate.

i got looked down on for getting 99 fm on my skiller because everyone told me it was a "noob" skill to get 99 because u can buy it...but look at it this way whether you can buy a skill or not it still takes hard work to get it to 99
