gorgoroth
Well i am currentely 1.5 k exp away from 50 Farming and i i've started liking it alot. I find that doing Farm Runs while Fletching is perfect and i plan on doing Farm Runs with all the skills possible from now on. But to get to they point. What should i be planting to get maximum profit with my currrent level? At the moment i'm planting only Ranarrs. I get about 5 - 6 Herbs per patch. Is there anything else i should be planting to make profit (and maybe get some more exp) and how do i maximize the ammount of herbs i get per patch? I am already using Supercompost and Magic secs. Thanx in advance! EDIT: Also i use my own herbs to make Potions for Herblore. At the moment Ranarrs are perfect as i use them to make Prayer Potion. Keep that in mind. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
aspeeder
There is nothing else you can do to increase yield, but toadflax gives better exp and is also quite profitable (And it's seed is pretty common from a lot of monsters). And once you get a few more lvls, kwarm gives great profits and amazing exp! http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
Cptbaker08
Ranarrs until Kwuarms, then Snapdragons ones you can plant those. Thats in the order of most exp you can get. They are also the best profit making herbs. Supercompost to keep them from dying as much, and the Magic Secs. to keep minimum amount of herbs per patch to be 5. Average is about 6.67 herbs per patch i believe. Cptbaker08
Only if you want more exp. No trees give profit, well none that i know of. They are also if you want/need a certain level and you want it in a short amount of time. IF you just do herb runes every now and then and don't need to get a certain farming level it doesn't matter. Also it cost some money to gain quite a bit of farming exp as the tree/fruit tree seeds are expensive. pkthedreamer
Yeah, I spent almost 1m on 3 farming levels. I will just do herb seeds from now on. 200.
gorgoroth
Yeah, I spent almost 1m on 3 farming levels. I will just do herb seeds from now on. Farming actually seems to make me quite a bit. If i make the Ranarrs i get into potions i get about double the ammount i spent back. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
Aeon_
Yeah, I spent almost 1m on 3 farming levels. I will just do herb seeds from now on. Not likely. About 4 papaya seeds per level. 12*35k=420k. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
Inuashakent
I thought it was 7 herbs on average or something. (This is not tied to the player nor the farming level, but by Jagex) Just do the math, it changes almost monthly due to price changes. It usually is Snapdragons, though. The seeds could go for over 40k, and under 30k. The herbs can go for over 9k, and under 6k. Just wait till the market's good... Or this is how it was a few months ago, I assume this hasn't changed. JoeDaStudd
Depends how much your going to throw into farming. Personally I've stuck with kwuarms myself as its the cheaper option, but with lots of profit. Flowers plant either marigolds, limps or white lily (you could boost to them). If you boost to 55 then plant a cactus its an extra 7 or 8k profit per trip. ultimatballr
Firstly.. Whoever dumped 1m into 3 levels.. And you are only level 59.. Either you are lying or you farmed very Very VERY inefficiently. For farming exp you should be looking to do trees.. Trees.. And more trees. Personally I do Pineapples and Willows. I make all the farmer payments. Now that m,ay seem like a lot of money.. But its not. All it takes (or at least it did, I've stopped farming for awhile so prices have changed) anyways, all it took was 4-5 herb runs a day to pay for the 5 pineapple and 5 willow seeds I used that day and I would even come out with a little extra profit on top of that. So it was pretty much free exp. Also you can plant marigolds for a like 2k extra a trip. Apparently, my signature was to big.

So it was pretty much free exp. Also you can plant marigolds for a like 2k extra a trip. I started at 57 farming, using pies to plant yew. I bought 5 papaya seeds and 5 yews the first time, but didn't pay farmers to look after it so one of my yews died, and one of my papayas. I saved another papaya before that died too. I did that a second time, but had a maple seed lying around so only bought 4 yew seeds, making sure to pay the farmers this time. Cactus spines are quite expensive, almost 2.2k each. This got me to 61 farming 4 levels I bought 9 yew seeds, 10 papaya seeds, and 50 cactus spines. At 79.1k, 34.8k, and 2.2k each respectively, that totals around 1.17M. I don't know exactly what I spent for 3 levels, but probably just a little bit less. Which still comes to around 1M. And I did it again, but haven't checked health yet. According to Tip.its calculator, that'll take me to 63 farming. So for 6 levels I spent: 14 yew seeds x 79.1k ea = around 1.1M , 15 papaya trees x 34.8k ea = 522k , 100 cactus spines x 2.2k ea = 220k. Grand total = 1.842M. Yeah, I guess yew seeds were a dumb idea, but still, at least I'm not a liar. From this thread I guess I should do herbs and lower level trees from now on. I'm thinking snapdragon and pineapples and willow atm. Is that a good plan? 200.
Skeptical
Should i be planting flowers/trees for more exp? Are there any trees that will provide profit? Only for XP. If you just want profit, just do rannars. "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." Support transparency... and by extension, freedom and democracy.
