Player: Unbelievable!

Note 2 I'm Stumped on how to turn this into a quest from here. help please?[/hide]--Author 's Notes--

*If you don't have a head or "Elvarg's Dragon Helmet" (see below), the chance of Elvarg droping His/Her/Its head is 100%. If you DO have a head or "Elvarg's Dragon Helmet", the chance is 0%.

You can take Elvarg's head to Oziach in Edgeville along with a Runite Full helm and 50K to have him create "Elvarg's Dragon Helmet" which would have better stats than a Runite Full Helmet. (+3 to all attack and defence stats, +2 str, +1 ranged str and prayer.) The head may also be mounted in Your POH. (Credit for the Helmet and mount ideas goes to Sworddude198)

Elvarg is meant to be a F2P Boss. Please post what you think needs to be Added/Removed/Changed and if you Support/Disaprove.

Support. F2P lacks a boss, but it might affect the P2P world, I mean, in p2p it would drop dragon bones... and hides... it's only logical to do so, and if that's going to happen, 99 prayer is only going to be easier and green dhide will be the new junk, usable junk but it'll be so low (if not already) that it'll hit the price floors of the GE.

So yeah, figure a solution to that and it'll be a awesome idea. Unless JaGex decides to make Dragon(hide) capes. That could be a whole new topic alone.... imagine the potential!

I do think there should be a wider range of drops, the drops would be from the people that Elvarg has slayed, the general gear lost against him. Such as - Antidragon Shield, Rune Scimitar, Rune Chainbody, Adamant Platebody, Rune Long, Lobster, Tuna, Salmon.... oh and the list goes on.

To kinggabe - It's meant to be a boss, the hits are fine imo. 2 of the best p2p food = 44hps, p2p bosses are more than capable of dealing that damage. 2 of the best f2p food (2 rounds of healing, no pizza) = 28hps, that's higher than the boss' max. So yeah...

-kinggabe, like dzihouchan said, The hits are fine. ;)

-dzihouchan, In P2P Elvarg would drop Dragon bones & green d'hide, but in F2P Prayer is still going to be hard, (5 Hill Giants Would give more 1.5 more Prayer exp. Now tell me witch would harder to solo? :) ) As for green d'hide, Maybe. As for other drops, I'll edit the first post later. ::'

-Sworddude198, Elvarg's head = Trophy for defeating the strongest F2P Monster. And you're right, the gold is too much. But hey, I came up with this in 30 Seconds. It's not sopposed to be perfect. :?

If I am still correct, then no monster ever drops more than 3,000 Gold.

Secondly, what purpose would Elvarg's head serve?

All the gwd bosses + tds do.

sig2-3.jpg

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

Well, its been awhile for me, but my point remains, 10k is too much for this monster.

You still haven't explained what purpose the head would serve other than being a trophy. I mean, its pointless if other users cannot see it.

Suppose you could take it to the guy who sells Rune Platebodys along with a Runite Full helm and have him create "Elvarg's Dragon Helmet" which would have slightly higher stats than a Runite Full Helmet with a +2 Str Bonus.

I already changed Elvarg's gold drop to a max of 1,000.

Uhmmm, thanks for updating the droplist, now, all you need to do is lower the percentages, make them fractions or ratios to represent drop chance (drop rate but that's technically wrong), and make the chances of items lower. In your post, you're saying about 1 out of 20 kills will drop a rune item. That's far too high, perhaps multiples can be dropped but decrease the drop rates. I mean, for a few high level f2pers and or p2pers, the boss would be extremely easy to solo, therefore ALOT of rune items will flood the economy.

I mean, you can't exact restrict it for f2pers only, whatever f2p gets, p2p gets, so having rune items 1/20, being easily campable for members with good gear, too much rune would enter the game. Even the best monster that I know of which drops rune items (Zamorak Warriors drop them about 1/40 or 1/50, need more testing but that's my guess of the rates) do not drop them so much. There should be more 'nooby' gear dropped by the boss too.

Adamant Platebodies will be too easy to get, I mean, about 1/3 for a 10k alchable drop, seriously -.-.

This post has been rushed and may contain errors that I haven't noticed, so don't be picky!

Support. The new Elvarg's name could be "Elvarg's Revenge" or something that requires a quest to finish in order to access this boss, just like Corporeal Beast and Summer's End.

Yeah, I should add in something.

You will not be able to get another head if you do create Evlarg's Dragon Helmet. However, you will be able to if you lose the helmet.

Also, Elvarg's Head should be able to be mounted in your POH, upon doing so, you would be able to get another head.

EDIT: You'll need stats too.

Attack Bonuses: +3 to all.

Defense Bonuses: Stab: 33, Slash: 35, Crush: 30, Magic: 2, Range: 33, Summoning: 7.

Strength Bonus: +2

Prayer Bonus: +1

I debated some of these to myself. It gives minimal Magic Defense, as, although it contains Dragonhide, it is still mostly metal.

Regarding the Prayer Bonus, I though that F2P has little Prayer bonus giving headgear, if any, though I kept it low as this, despite being F2P's best helm, is more of an item to say "I did that" rather than provide great stats. It was not my original intention to give it a prayer bonus, but then I though +1 doesn't make that much of a difference, so why not?

Regarding how it looks, I believe it should look similar to the Dragon's head itself, though on a smaller scale, however, it should keep the basic shape of the Rune Full Helmet.

Also, I figure that rather than just give the guy the helmet and head, you should have to pay a 50k fee, for labour and materials used.

Hi

Great idea this is just what f2p need a boss monster and i love the idea of Elvarg's Dragon Helmet.

And the best of all the new Ceo Mod MMG did say he want to make f2p better with more content and this imo is the type of content that is needed.

U have my support

I'd say the fee for the BEST F2P helmet would cost at least 500k, however 1m seems more like it. It should have decently high protect value. (Say same as Rune platebody?)

Sorry, but thats insanely overpriced for its bonus.

I've just thrown on 3 to every attack and defense bonus, and gave it a small strength bonus, and a small prayer bonus. Its price is fine, you have to defeat a somewhat difficult monster (for F2P), and lets face it, the bonus I gave it is very small, almost insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

50k is fine.

A bit too strong hits for a boss.

just because of that i think it is a very reasonable idea beacue it wouldnt take much beacuse elvarg is in the game. I really hopwe this would come. And btw if a boss is released to f2p its going to be hellahard

Nice idea and well thought out.

The coins drop anything 5k or less is fine.

The helm with 3+ attack bonuses well, just make it the strength bonus.

Love the idea

And it would be great if this monster is non soloable for most but the best of f2pers. We have cockroaches, we have greaters, but all can be soloed easily. I reckon one that requires a f2p clan to slay effectively would be better.

Ok...kinda good idea for a boss, but rangers and mages are waaaay overpowered.

It's a dragon right? So that means it'll behave like every other dragon. If you're a few squares away from it, it'll just stop meleeing you and either do nothing like normal monsters or use dragonbreath. That being said, rangers would have an extremely easy time since they would not need to worry about the melee attack. They'd only need to consider the dragonbreath, which wouldn't be fired very often.

Therefore, mages have it even easier than rangers. They can equip a anti-dragon shield. Then if they prayer against magic as well, the dragon-breath's damage would be brought down even further. Sure magic isn't very effective. So what? At high magic levels (70 or so), that ceases to be a problem, and you can mage them without much penalty.

Easiest solution? Give him a ranged attack.

I thought that Elvarg was the only male green dragon? Who cares though it doesn't really matter for our purposes.
