"Dharmaville"

I was on youtube, and I was watching a video related to LOST, on a channel called "Dharmaville." Anyone, in the beginning of the video there war an octagon, but insid, there was a smiley, being this one  :twss:

Is that smiley TIF specific, or is it a common thing? Is a TIF'er the own of the Dharmaville channel.

Just wondering

If this is in the wrong section, move/lock.

thanx

Google search 'Awesome smiley,' you'll come up with loads of pics of the internet phenomenom.

Probably created from 4chan or Something Awful or some site like that.

The answer is no. Google image search "awesome".

:ima[bleep]:

Thanks for that?

That's actually what the smiley used to be called, so it's not directed towards you. I remember seeing it somewhere.

Then again, I dunno if this'll help?:

Aha, here it is:

[quote name='"

http://driph.com/words/2008/04/origin-of-awesome/"]Originally purchased and added to the Something Awful smiley roster (SA has a pay system allowing members to add smileys) just prior to the above linked thread' date=' it took off like a rocket. Known as :awesome:, the emoticon eventually reappeared as :f---you: and later :iama[bleep']: after excessive overuse within GBS and other areas of Something Awful. This explosion of popularity led to its migration onto other forums, most notably 4chan (especially within /v/), where it was embraced with great vigor and enthusiasm.

After a while of being :awesome: on the Something Awful forums and getting overused (like it does here) it got switched to the name :ima[bleep]: .

There's the explaination I was looking for that tells me I wasn't being insulted. Thanks.

It's funny how something like that can get popular. It shows you what people on the internet are like.

So is there any chance of having the mention of 4chan a bannable offense? Or has that question already been answered.

Oh, how I long for that day  ~ Bongo

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.
