Mungo0
So, I've decided to try out for the firecape. What items do I need, etc? Thanks. Yes... Yes, that's what he said. :D
Sy_Accursed
http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=fight ... fightcaves covers most of the basics and if u search the AoW there heaps of guides with more up-to-date inventories. But the tip.it one isn't far off. Just tweak the gear to suit u but keep guthans and karils Worth having a range pot for jad especially And works better if u swap food for sara brews and most, if not all, ppots for super restores Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Shazarabbit
Oooh, Good Luck :D The link shown above is an excellent guide (And I'm not just saying that!), Another good way to see how to do things is to look it up on youtube. You'll find lots of extra tips/hints. Best of luck. :D Proud Tip.It Moderator December 07 - October 2009Proud TETAU Member 2006 - 2007 <3"I had a standing agreement with god. Kietaro1
Do it once (or however many times it takes you to get to Jad). Do not make your goal to kill Jad, just get used to him (if you kill him awesome but if not do not worry about it). Try to make it to the healers and familarize yourself with manipulating them. Knowledge is power and once you get to know Jad, the fight caves are simple. I think that the important thing to try to remember is that you will not do it on the first try. I mean it is possible but getting to Jad and failing can crush the spirit as it did me. After that I neglected to try again for a while. If I had braced myself for failure it might have helped. Then again I hope you can do it the first time. Using a youtube video to time the prayers is useful as well. And most importantly, I would just use range + prayer gear. Makes it pretty easy. Mungo0
So, here's my invent and what I'm wearing. Yea/Nay? Yes... Yes, that's what he said. :D
trevor92223
So, here's my invent and what I'm wearing. Yea/Nay? switch the cape for something along the lines of an accumlator, or prayer cape, and yeah your fine. You may want to add some more bolts, dont want to get left short ya know? Edit: Also seeing your range level, you might want to ditch the drag boots and get ranger boots, or snakeskin boots.. you want a high range attack bonus. sadukar123
I'd bring a shield to tank. Swap out most of the super restores for prayer potions, you only need 1 dose of super restore for 2 dose of brew really. (1:3 is best, but hard to achieve.) Drops: Misc: Abyssal Whip x28 , Dark Bow x5, Beserker Ring x3, Warrior ring x1 Dragon: Dragon Platelegs x2 , Dragon Plateskirt x2, Dragon Boots x38, Dragon Med Helm x4, Shield left half x3 Godwars: Godsword shard x13, Bandos Hilt x3, Bandos Chestplate x6, Bandos Tassets x4, Bandos Boots x5, Saradomin Sword x1, Zamorakian Spear x1,. Armadyl Helm x2, Armadyl chestplate x2.
Mungo0
I've changed my invent. I also have 2k broad bolts, but I don't know what shield to use. Yes... Yes, that's what he said. :D
homowz
get a granite shield/obby shield/dfs... u really need the accumulator otherwise u need more than 8k broads! as said before, just swap dboots with snakeskin/ranger. also, get a archer ring. Mungo0
Ah yes, forgot to put that in, I have the accumulator. Would 2k of broads be enough with that, or should I up it? I think I'll plump for a Granite shield. Oh, and put an offer in for snakeskin boots. Yes... Yes, that's what he said. :D

Kietaro1
I usually take 1500 diamonds and end up with about 900 left over. 2k should be plenty.

Assume Nothing
I've changed my invent. I also have 2k broad bolts, but I don't know what shield to use. No, you'd want the sup rests, they give an extra prayer point in comparison to prayer pots every dose, and also, they restore your stats after the saradomin brews reduce them. You only need 15 super restores, so bring more brews. Also, bringing a enhanced excalibur helps alot, and I mean, ALOT.
Mungo0
Well, I don't have the enhanced Excalibur, so that's out of the question. :S Um, Do I really need more sara brews? People have said that I have enough brews... Yes... Yes, that's what he said. :D
Assume Nothing
He hits in the 90's easily, so one wrong move and low brews would make you die.
Mungo0
Okay, so would 3 extra brews be enough? Yes... Yes, that's what he said. :D
Sy_Accursed
extra brews aren't vital It's mainly swapping out ppots for restores. but once u do tht u dont need as many of them so u may as well take extras of others. I'd say swap to all restores and u can get 3 gaps, so 3 more brews or 2 brews and a range pot wuld be gd. Nomrombom
Change the boots to ranger or snakeskin. Use an accumulator, or if you have one (I'm too lazy to check :) ) a skillcape. I would suggest bringing about 200 diamonds. You REALLY don't want to run out and die. They don't cost too too much, so just buy about another hundred. I have no idea what you should do for potions, sorry. ;) Gah, half of this has been suggested... PM me for fitocracy invite
winthern
if you don't have archer ring, explorer gives a small prayer boost (I think....) otherwise all the useful stuff has already been said.
oliboli1992
hey mungo, you need to add me..i got hacked recently so i lost all my friends on my friends list.. here is what i wore when i got my fire cape..i need to get that again too... but sustitue the mithril bolts for broad bolts and maybe not so much sara brews if you're confident you can use the right prayer most of the time.. [spoiler=Sig] I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.
