May 31, 200917 yr Instead of looking at it as "I've killed "this many" therefore I should have gotten "these" drops... You need to see every trip as a new and refreshed chance of the drop, pretend you never went on those other trips because that's what it boils down to. You can't expect a drop just because you've killed "x" many.

Whether you get the drop is determined by statistics, if you ACTUALLY get it, it's lucky... I mean, if you get a decent drop the first thingt that pops into your mind isn't "good ol' statistics!", it's "LUCKY!!!".

A whip after 10 kills is a little less lucky, but still lucky, and one after 450 kills is just what you'd expect. My point is, when you're talking about general gameplay, then you don't have more or less luck than anyone else. Individual experiences, like the one you described above can be about luck. If you haven't gotten a good drop in 7 years, then you haven't tried enough. i've gotten 60-99 ranged on one account entirely at fire giants and never got a d med drop. i've gotten 60-85 ranged on another account entirely at fire giants and never got a d med drop. And as far as the half shield drop... any monster that drops gems has a chance to drop one... and well i've killed countless numbers of those.
