Not necessarily sheltered. I just don't swear by personal choice. Little kids swear and it takes the power out of the words, imagine I get mad and drop a few words, anyone who knows me at all will be in shock.

 

I don't drink or party because I'm not friends with people who drink now.

 

I haven't dated because I don't appeal to males (I don't try.) and I hang out with the people I do, a bunch of sheltered people.

 

I don't drive because I never got super excited or motivated to learn, and I've gotten by fine without it.

 

Basically, I hang out with mostly sheltered people. They'd be the ones to think I'm a [bleep] for making out with a kid the night I met him. They'd think I was a terrible person if I drank or did drugs. I know how they feel about the sexual deviant on the fringe of the group. They think he's stupid for having sex. Yeah, the situation was bad, she was cheating on her boyfriend for him, but the people I hang out with thought it was bad he was having sex with anyone at all. When that girl thought she might be pregnant, everyone got upset about him having sex. I just thought it was dumb that neither of them were responsible enough to prevent it. When I hear about people drinking, I don't give them the death stares my group does. I see why my closest friend at school left the group, she didn't fit in it. And I don't completely either, hence I spend my weekends with my best friend, who doesn't get into major trouble really but isn't sheltered.

 

Basically I put myself in position to look like I'm sheltered, but I'm not. I'm not as much of a baby as the rest. And they've been super annoying lately anyway, I'm excited to get away and put myself into a group where I fit in better.

 

tl;dr I'm not sheltered. And I don't mean to sound defensive about it, but I'm really not.
