iPod Nano -- 1,000 songs. Impossibly small.

Interesting gadget though, if I didn't have an MP3 player already I'd definitely consider it. I still believe the Ipod Shuffle is the lamest concept ever, but this one does indeed look like a step in the right direction.

Yes. iPod Shuffle sucks a lot. You won't believe how much it sold because it carried the name 'iPod'. If any other manufacturer made it, people would completely ignore it saying it has no screen. But, yeah, imo, Apple has been redeemed with this new baby.

Not necessarily, although i wouldn't buy one, for someone who is willing to pay maybe a little extra for a quality product, and who isn't bothered about playlist order, it's a great little gadget. Holds enough songs for quite a few songs, and is light enough so that it is perfect for exercising with, and the sound quality is great. It IS a quality product, and for people not bothered about having the best ever whatever in relation to price there is nothing wrong with it.

It's not a good product because every other competing product pwnz the hell out of the Shuffle. Creative Muvo is a good example. More space, about the same size, a screen and less expensive.

I like the sleek design of all apple products. The reason im not buying one is because, i dont even know 1000 songs, or even 200 songs at that. I am thinking of buying a ipod shuffle, or just a mp3 player. Oh ya, and do you get like itunes free with a apple product? :?

Anyone can get iTunes, just go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download it. Songs however cost for anyone, and there aren't any freebies for Apple buyers.

My friend doesnt pay for his itunes :? . And with a normal ipod, once one song is over do you have to select another song, or does it go right to the next song?

I'd say that it just keeps playing through the playlist till you tell it to stop :P

A bit extreme but when it comes to advertising there's only two things that really work:

1. Offering the product in as many sizes as possible

2. Never giving them the best thing first.

Not to say that the nano is the best. But Take a look at the gameboy. Very good example of the second.

I think this one wouldn't sell that much copies if it was developed by another company either. The I-Pod shuffle is very nice for the youth, a lot of younger people 10-15 have one. They're cheap, a 11 year old can't afford a normal I-Pod (not all parents can do that for their child either), and his classmates laugh at him when he comes at school with something else, the I-Pod shuffle isn't a bad solution I think.

No, apple made a product that brings quality and design to the bottom end of the market. My dad loves his (shuffle) it stores enough songs for him, it's light and portable for when he runs, has superb sound quality and is criminally easy to synch with iTunes.

I already said, there are products out there that exceed the Shuffle in every way, except for syncing with iTunes. And these products were out before the Shuffle.

Ruzbeh, I don't think that anyone is denying the fact that if the Shuffle wasn't an iPod, noone would have bought it. I really doubt that many people would have bought an mp3 player like the Shuffle, if it wasn't made by Apple. There is no chance in hell it would have been as sucessful as it was/is.

And once again, as for the nano, its an amazing idea. Once again, it will be amazingly successful thanks largely in part due to the iPod name. However, it cant be denied that it is an amazing idea, and a great mp3 player (based on previous iPods).
