I'm not much of a ranter, but people really get on my nerves when they call you "safers" and eat themselves. :| Yeah, what?

I know it's the way of the world, but this is really annoying me.

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

Safing isn' t eating, it' s keeping yourself away from a critical hit point where you can be killed with one hit. But safing is (was) refferd to eating before you lose half your HP or even 1/4 of your HP. Meaning, you loose turns and food trying to keep your health bar fully green.

True safing is not a good fighting tactic but everyone calls you a safer today, even if you eat at 1 HP....

It's actually a bad thing to both, because you would need a massive combo to get past constant eating to 100%....you won't kill and won't get killed either.

It's kind of a default rule, since both pkers go pking in order to get a kill, not just to whack each other just wasting sharks.

If one eats too much, the other runs, simple as that, but name calling isn't really necessary tbh :?

It really sucks in F2P though, since the damage is so hard to do at some levels that 80% of people get scared when somebody hits a 14, prays, then eats to max constantly and expects you to still fight even though it is just a waste of resources. :?

Yea, basically, if you safe, especially in F2p, they have more than a right to call you a noob and run. No one is gonna win the fight, so why not.

They have no right to call you a noob.

They can run or whatever though.

And you just have to wait until he runs out of food.

What gets on my nerves is in F2P, when you're fighting someone no arm, and they have 99 range and 99 str, they can hit 18+32 before you can eat 28.

They say "nice safe", but in reality, you're taking a lot of risk even getting to 26 hp.

I also hate it when they eat past 36, even though you just hit a zero with your finishing weapon.

Oh well. It makes it all the more sweeter when you kill them.

Yeah lol, i was praying protect melee and so was he and hes like "lol prayer nub"

same thing happens at duel arena. a lower level protects from melee first, in response, i turn on protect from range, since the guy was double pronged with melee and ranged and HE calls me a prayer noob.

I'm guessing the lower level was so low he had no chance in beating you without a protect prayer.

i agree, there is nothing worse than being called a pray noob for protecting melee against someone with D claws, other than being called it whilst they are using the Smite prayer themselves.

Well that may just be a joke. When I see someone with a strength skillcape, and I'm wearing mine, I always call them "strength noob".

The safeing thing isn't that though. I think it's just some wanna-be pker who can't get a kill. Don't fall for it. Eat when you have to. However, eating when you don't have to is bad. I'm not just saying that. It's bad because you waste valuable rounds of combat doing so.

Eh, I was a noob because I was wearing Rune armor and the other guy was wearing "Rusty Gold Armor" (more commonly known as bronze). Don't take offense by it. Just another reason to show that the Runescape community isn't changing from how it was four years ago.
