September 10, 200520 yr Seeing as the cowboys lost, I'll have to go for the Eels now. Failing that, the Storm.
September 10, 200520 yr Are we talking about REAL Football aka Soccer or stupid Americanised rubbish football where people prance about in full body armour lol? September 10, 200520 yr Are we talking about REAL Football aka Soccer or stupid Americanised rubbish football where people prance about in full body armour lol? Think they mean real football (American foot ball  ). Im guess NFL starts soon, the CFL is just about over. I dont care much for foot ball anyways. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! September 10, 200520 yr Think they mean real football In that case I think the best team this year will be either Real Madrid or Juventus. Nae chance Liverpool will be anywhere near the european cup final this year. Best team next year? Brazil :P

September 10, 200520 yr Nae chance Liverpool will be anywhere near the european cup final this year. Who cares! :P We won the greatest final and possibly tournament since the Champs League began. Slap me a 4th and I'll be chuffed. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
September 10, 200520 yr Who cares! :P We won the greatest final and possibly tournament since the Champs League began. best final was clearly Man Utd - Bayern 2-1, by far  You'll be happy with 4th? I'll be surprised if you make it through the group stage :P
September 10, 200520 yr best final was clearly Man Utd - Bayern 2-1, by far  Uneducated muppet. ;) Man Utd were actually expected to do something in the first place, never mind up against the best team in Europe, 3-0 down against a group of (mainly) Italians who Catanachio, along with the best striker in the world! You'll be happy with 4th? I'll be surprised if you make it through the group stage :P I meant fourth in the league  Fend off Tottenham I reckon. They look very dangerous. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
September 11, 200520 yr Who cares! :P We won the greatest final and possibly tournament since the Champs League began. That was one of the best games of football ever. 3-0 down at half time, out of the game and then you win on penalties. WOW! Mind you, you won't win again.
September 11, 200520 yr real football is the european type america has to be different hardly kick the ball but in "soccer" aka the proper football they do.. so stop being different and change your "football" to something like ovalball

Yeah, but after 89 minutes, no-one expected Man Utd to do something. It tops the Liverpool game easily. And anyway, that Munich team were on par with this Milan team. I meant fourth in the league  Fend off Tottenham I reckon. They look very dangerous. You probably won't get fourth. Owen will come back to haunt you.

Riiiighhhttt.

Riiiighhhttt. Stop exaggerating. You forget that Liverpool scored their goals in about a four minute period, and after that nothing else happened much, apart from the 'brilliant' save that would be brilliant if he actually had to move to save the shots. Milan aren't the best team in the world either, and if my memory serves me correctly, a lot of people were backing United when they played.

I didn't support ManUSA in the final, and I didn't support Liverpool in the final. In fact, the only times I have ever supported Liverpool (Spanish B team) were when they played against ManUSA or Arsenal (French B team).

September 11, 200520 yr The person who started this post obviously meant football by the teams he mentioned, no need to hijack his thread with soccer teams.. I like the Eagles and Steelers since I'm from PA :D
September 11, 200520 yr The Steelers have got off to a good start, just beat the Titans comfortably. I'm just hoping the Redskins can hold on against the Bears. There's only 2 minutes left and we got the ball so it's looking promising.
September 11, 200520 yr Titans have always been my team. But sadly, I'm not expecting much. This year Carolina is looking like the overall favourties, even with New England I guess. I'm hoping that Oakland and Philly have good years as well. As for the CFL, Argos all the way. 7 - 4 record, atop our division, repeat champions! Go Argos!

I'm hoping that Oakland and Philly have good years as well. The Titans will probably struggle this year and the Raiders didn't get off to a good start, but they did play the Patriots so that's to be expected. Although they won't win the Superbowl again this year they will go far. As I'm posting this the Panthers are 20-17 down against the Saints and the Eagles don't play until past midnight tomorrow. At least past midnight here in Wales. The good news is the Redskins have won against the Bears and are top of the Division, even if nobody else has played yet.
