Price doesn't matter to me really, but is it good armor wise?

Not only is the Dragon plateskirt cheaper for the same stats, it's 1 kg lighter.

Yeah, it's the best for 60 defence. Get a skirt though, you can put the extra money towards some jewlery, like a warrior ring.

I truly dislike getting the skirt, not the fact of its a skirt, but just how it looks.

Dragon armour is junk, not even the skirt is worth it's price. Just wait till you're 70 defence, use good ol' cheap rune armour till then. At 70 you can get barrows, which makes almost any other armour look like a joke. Very cheap aswell.

 

 

 

Also as a FYI, dragon armour is looked down on for some reason, It looks extremely nooby (whatever you do don't buy dragon leg/skirt+dmed+runeplate. That is the visual definition for a noob).

 

 

 

Do get dragon boots though, they're great.

Barrows is the least practical armor ever.. Having to recharge it all the time is stupid. I'd take dragon any day.

Barrows is arguably one of the best armors in the game. Have you even looked at the bonuses they give? Plus the recharging is only once every 15 hours, and if you can afford Barrows, then I'm sure you could cover the recharge cost.

Yes, and I'll use my barrows sometimes, but when I do combat, 90% of the time, it's to train the specific combat skill (att, str, def)... and of course I'm not going to be training on something that's above say... level 60, so there's no point in having good defence and wearing barrows.. its a waste. And yes, it's only every 15 hours, but 15 hours passes quick.

I pity you. Barrows IS the best armour in game in terms of all-round runescaping and anyone who thinks dragon or rune is better is just... Stupid, really. No offence intended, but I'm convinced you've never even used barrows if your reasoning for hating it is the repairing.

Thats true. Barrows is the best melee defense armour in the game. If all that worries you is the repair then what Philip said. Only bad part is if you're in the middle of a task and it breaks completely, then it sucks.

 

 

 

I agree with everyone else though, get dragon boots and keep them until you die (in game ofc) then go buy another pair. As for the legs only get them if you want. I bought them and used them with a Granite Body while slaying. But once i hit 70 i bought barrows, and until i got the cash for bandos i used them ever since.

I didn't say rune or dragon are better. I said they are more practical. Like I said, why would I use barrows on something that never hits me?

 

 

 

And yes I have used barrows before - working on making junk (through training fletching) so I can get one of my sets back from a friend that I gave to after I quit the game 4 years ago. And I do have barrows now, just not a full set (just came back to the game a month ago - made a couple of mil, but still not willing to throw away 90k on defence stats I don't need.. and unable to get anything back from my friend cause of the new trade restrictions).

having used both barrows and dragon/rune, the difference to me isn't great enough to warrant the recharging and slight boost...

 

 

 

that said, i haven't used guthans, so that might be the difference...veracs and karils didn't really seem to be that much of a big deal...i say save your money, but that's my opinion
