June 28, 200917 yr I used the Flail for my WF assignments, but I skipped them often. Chuck Norris doesn't ever need a compass; he randomly points somewhere and north goes there in order not to anger him.

Flail may have better stats, it's slower than ancient staff. Also ancient staff gives magic defence, which you need.
