A 50/50 For Mobilizing Armies?

Well, how about it? Is it possible?

I think I've come up with a way. I took a look at the conditions for forfeiting. All it says that there's a chance your army will abandon you and you get no rank, no reward points, and no investment back. There are no negatives (except for having to buy a new army), as far as I know. So it got me thinking. GoP has a 50/50 system, why not Mobilizing Armies?

Here's what I thought of, everyone who entered the chat would go to a certain world. This in itself, of course, requires that this system must wait a few days for the hype to die down first. After that, the team of 20 would all enter the same scenario, same level. The game would start. Then, all players MUST submit ONE quickchat message. This is so everyone knows who is who, and also so they can report those who don't abide by the rules to the clan. Everyone is given 1 minute to do so (there is a counter in-game). If they do not respond, the others are to attack the remaining team. Problem arises if more than 1 person doesn't report. You could still have the remaining two team, and since the others aren't united (and have no way of planning to do so), they still have the advantage. But that part should be thoroughly thought out later, as this idea is still young.

Once everyone has reported, everyone who isn't on the red team will forfeit. The red team would win and gain 2 rank, while the others lose nothing (except a chance at losing their army). When everyone is out, the game starts anew. If it takes 2 minutes for this entire process to happen (which is probably generous, if everyone is willing) members would get an average of ~14-16 points per hour (statistically, you have a 1/4 chance of being red and therefore a 1/4 chance of gaining 2 rank). You'd get 100 rank in just 5 hours this way.

Problems:

1) It'll cost a lot. No doubt that sometime during the hour, your army will abandon you. I don't know how often this is, but buying another only takes 1k or so. Nothing expensive.

You would no wager anything before the match. 3/4 times you will lose your 10k (or whatever) and since everyone is just forfeiting, even if you are red you don't get enough points back to cover your investment. For real reward points, just playing the game normally is the better option.

2) Corruption. No doubt there are people who will take advantage of this. That's why everyone reports at the beginning. The other 3 can just report the infidel and the leader can take care of it (by kicking and world hopping). If they do not report, everyone just piles him and he is bound to lose, then the game proceeds as normal.

3) Corruption again. If there is simply too much corruption, this would never work. So that's why people who build these teams must be careful who they choose. Switching worlds may solve it, but not permanently. This is the only major problem I see: if there are simply TOO MANY leechers or infidels.

4) Interference. Of course you can't help the random level 60 who pops by and decides to try it out. This is solved by the reporting. He will not know to report and will get piled. (However, in response to everyone else, he may use quickchat just to be friendly. This is solved by allowing only 1 phrase to be accepted.) If the chance arises that he does report correctly, he will either have a 1v1 (which he will most likely lose because the wandering traveler probably isn't a match for someone who does this minigame seriously), or be the red team and win, in which case the other 3 people lose nothing.

Once again, I'll say that this idea will only work once the hype dies down.

So what do you all think?

EDIT: I lied, it isn't a 50/50, sorry about that

EDIT2: It appears I've misread. You do lose all your squads every time you forfeit. That's ~20k per hour you'd spend to replace your squads. Sure it's a lot, but 600k for 100 rank on a slow minigame like this? I'd take it. You'd only spend 3m to max out, and for an imbued warrior's ring, that's a small price to pay.

 Sounds fun.

And yeah, it's a 25/25/25/25. :D

It's 1k to replace your armies when you forfeit. I checked. (okay I dc'd but that's the same thing.)

Balance may be power, but chaos is still pretty damn fun.

It won't work till the make multiple games and the fact someone could get the same color over and over.

Right, but you're leaving that to statistics then. It's safe to assume you will be red (and win) 1/4 of the time. Is there a more accurate assumption?

Doing "Fast" games is probably quicker. Where all 4 teams death dot in the middle of the map, and after 4 minutes is up they use chins/cannons to finish everyone. Clan chat "Fast Ma" if you're interested! :P

How would take be quicker? In this one you don't even have to move, just click forfeit.

I'm wondering, how is the winner decided if everyone is blown up at the same time?

Completely random!

You don't have to rebuy your sqads at the end, either. You don't risk anything. and it's what, 5 minutes per rank with the chance of winning and gaining 2 ranks.

"this isn't in the spirit of the game..." "this will ruin the rewards..."...blah blah blah

Amazing how something becomes strategy as opposed to ruining the game when it could have a positive impact for their sake. You're all a bunch of hypocrites, but I feel better now that I know that you're all just as evil as I am.

Btw, just kidding, I never felt bad. Back to 26king

The chance of being on the losing side for 100 games in a row is (3/4)^100 = 3.2*10^-13, which is practically zero. Furthermore, you'll win at least 20/100 games about 90% of the time, and at least 15/100 games about 99.5% of the time. (This is assuming that team assignments are completely random and that previous games have no effect on future games.)

^^Nice N64

This is a good idea (I'd be in a cc like this), but what happens when you get people who leave/log out? I'd recommend getting about 30 or so, that way you're guaranteed to have a game (since you need 20 people after all to even start). Just a thought.

not to menton if you have 20 and someone gets a game you have 16 and you need to wait for them to finish.

This is completely different, you cannot compare people who want fast ranks to people wanting fast money. Ranks won't affect anyone but the person that's getting them. 26k'ing basicly affects everyone, and you get rich from it. This mini-game? Don't expect masses of wealth. :| This costs money, not creates it. And time, a lot of time.

Once you invest a lot of time, I have a feeling it could give some pretty decent gp/hr.

The problem is, forfeiting yields no rank. DDing is probably quicker, seeing as it's more reliable. How about everyone but red dd's?

Also, the waiting rooms alone take over two minutes. And I believe dying before the 26min mark gives no rank aswell.
