djjomon Posted July 11, 2009 Share Posted July 11, 2009 according to jagex's update news on mobilising armies, zanik's crossbow was also updated to fire more bolts. does anyone know what bolts this update includes? edit: i have confirmation that it wont fire broad bolts i have enchanted and poisoned bolt orders in the grand exchange, ill update them as they come in edit 2: zanik's crossbow WILL fire ENCHANTED and POISONED bolts! djjomon Posted July 12, 2009 Author Share Posted July 12, 2009 disregard my updates. for whatever reason you can weild enchated bolts with the crossbow, but not actually fire it. i dont see why it would let you even weild it if you cant use it (i dont think you can weild broad bolts with zaniks) or is that the update? that you can hold the bolts in your quiver but not fire them? You can hold Bronze arrows and wield a Godsword, so why wouldn't you be able to with a crossbow? Rien Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 I've tested numerous bolts, and I can say with certainty that the only difference now is that Zanik's Crossbow can fire poisoned bolts (up to adamant). The strength of the poison doesn't matter; it'll fire them all. To reiterate, Zanik's Crossbow can only fire Bone and Bronze-Adamant bolts, regular or poisoned. It cannot fire enchanted bolts.
