Uhm, no, let's not.

13m*40k=520,000k total GDP

20% of this (high % for newbie) is 104b.

But these stats are totally wrong, as your entire population cannot all work. Some are too young, some are too old, some are too sick etc. But whatever.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

I always thought you take 5% of your GDP, not all of it

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

My planet is going to begin a baby boost program, that will take affect next year, and wont show any results for 18 years.

Basically, I will pay 10B a year, that will pay for 1 million babies, at 10k per year. This makes out to 180k A baby, as it costs all of that for food and a high education, this means, after 18 years, I will have some well nourished well educated workers ready to boost my GDP quite greatly.

It will stack with my current Growth rate.

Tell me your thoughts :)

Its a good idea and wil create a baby boom.

just like that canceled baby lottery thing of mine.

i'll be spending 40 billion into infastructure and jobs (this is a one off payment) and hopefully this will increase GDP to 42'000 by next year.

We have decided to create a lottery system. Due to excess money that we get every year, 8b of that excess will be given freely to people living in our provinces. No one has to purchase anything; we freely give money as part of our great generosity.

The lottery will be broken down like this:

-1b jackpot for the British Isles

-1b jackpot for Japan

-1b jackpot for our territory in the Pacific

-2b jackpot for Africa

-3b jackpot for India

Drawings will be annual, and everyone has an equal chance of winning.

In other news, the colony ships have arrived from Britanniae, and they are being loaded with citizens. The ships will go to Zhoreuc, then they will come back and transport more colonists from Earth to Britanniae.

Well its time to do an update!

The ships that I sent to the eresu system have achieved warp.

Naval production continues

more complex nano bots 1/7

ARCHIVE III 1/6

civilian training 8/15

Re-tooling of unused building into farms 2/5

50 billion a year is still getting pumped into infrastructure.

I am beggining to create a large land based ion cannon that would be 10 times as powerful as my ship based ones (1/5)

More efficent reactors 8/10

Ship creation continues except now I am adding on resource collection ships. (the production is 1 factory ship a year now I will add on 3 mining ships)

Electric Shield: 18/20

New Hope Space Station: 18/27

Project Freon: 9/15

Military Pods: 6/18

Miners: 3/5

Travel Pods: 3/6

Another section of New Hope is up, containing about 30 ion cannons.

Acceleration Engine project is complete. Sadly, my scientists couldn't find a way to make the AEM more efficient, so we're sticking with the current design.

The Project Freon scientists have engineered a gene that allows creatures to survive at extremely cold temperatures. However, this gene also creates a necessity for a layer of ice on the skin of the creature in question. So far, they've managed to encase a rat with this gene in ice and currently are working on a way to allow it to move.

The two Mini-Hopes have returned from Oruguma and have received the latest tech upgrades.

The scientists working on the Miners project have created a design. They are now working on programming it.

I'm sending the ammo up next year. And they don't really need power, the ion beam is powered by the ion cartridge. Sort of like how you don't need to plug in a gun to shoot it.

[hide=Republic of Taiwan - Statistics as of 2094]

[For GDP, I'll be using the nominal figures, found on Wikipedia. All growth rates are over the 85 years since this started, although admittedly, I didn't acquire most of these territories until far later on.]

[hide=Breakdown of Territories on Earth]

"Mainland" Taiwan

-Population: 35 million (.4% growth rate)

-GDP per Capita: ~60K (rounded for easier calculations - 1.5% growth rate)

Bhutan + Nepal (Shan Guo - "Mountain Country")

-Population: 100 million (1.4% growth rate)

-GDP per Capita: ~30K (4% growth rate - I've put a lot of money into improving this area, and as you can see, it's still rather low)

Singapore, Brunei and East Timor (Xi Nan Guo - "Southwest[ern] Country")

-Population: 20.5 million (1.3% growth rate)

-GDP per Capita: ~125K (I actually got something like 184K, but that seemed ridiculously high, so I brought it down a bit. The real life economies of Singapore and Brunei are exploding though, so perhaps it's not too unreasonable. 1.8% growth rate)

Other Pacific Islands (Hai Dao - "Island")

-Population: 4 million (.8% growth rate)

-GDP per Capita ~35K (Started with 4000 since I'm too lazy to average out all the different islands, 2.5% growth rate)

[/hide]

Zhoreuc:

-Population: 10K

Don't know what a reasonable GDP per Capita would be, I'll go with 40K for now.

Total:

-Population: 160 million

-GDP: 7.8*1012, or...7.8 trillion? What. I had no clue it was so high. Reasonable enough I guess, I have a few very well off countries, and I've focused a lot of internal affairs.

Taxing at 25%, and having 20% of that left over, gives me 390 billion.

You usually don't see me saying things like "I spend 100b on this project, 60b on that project, and 20b on buying Pokemon cards," but don't assume that means I'm not staying within the boundaries of my economy. I just simply have no idea how much I should be spending on each project.

[/hide]

In other news, that team of scientists was launched to Qyella, while my other ship is carrying 3000 more colonists to Zhoreuc.

I'm not sure that you've researched ion cannons.

Just saying, I was under the impression that considering you're starting a colony, you won't really be able to 'tax' anything from planets 'yet'. Infrastructure needs to be built, and those N colonists don't have the millions to do it.

Was part of the ion weaponry project, went right along with the rifles and the pistols.

I'm assuming that was directed at me.

If so, yea, I wasn't sure whether to include them or not. I do have basic infrastructure up, though I can simply not use them when calculating my GDP. (although without them, I only lost 20m in surplus money)

Ion cannons are complete. They are powered by high power batteries, and will be useful for tactical annihilation and also for anti space warfare.

Plague_Weapon_TriBarrel_Textureda_FR.jpg

This is my new standard infantry weapon. The bottom two barrels are railguns (which in the way that I use them are essentially bolt action rifles with long cooldowns) and the top barrel is a mini ion cannon, capable of burning a hole into three feet of concrete, about the size of a baseball.

StarGate Atlantis tech, Satedan, belive me, I haven't spent 30 hours this weekend watching SGA without remembering that. :ugeek:

It's a gun, Mather. Pretty sure they use M16's on Stargate as well, doesn't mean Stargate invented them.

Nop, but M16 are standard automatic rifles, that gun is original and alien.

Okay, as you completely missed my point, STARGATE DIDN'T INVENT THE CONCEPT OF TRIPLE BARRELED SHOTGUNS. We've all had enough of Stargate, if someone posts something that looks similar to something from Stargate, guess what? None of us really care that much.
