I'm looking at the wiki. I can't find it. Is it on the spreadsheet?

Aha!

I finally found the PP cost of all the modules and their effects. Can we create new modules which are based on the existing modules if we get it approved by you? I am bad at navigating that page.

Needs weight on the Armour/

Also for torpedoes there needs to be some measure of damage. I recommend steel burn diameter, since that will give me some idea of the force involved.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I was imagining a WW2 torpedo. I have no clue what kind of damage that would do.

(It becomes apparent that Urk-Orz have lost interest in communicating with the minimally sentient lifeforms from this dimention)

Fine then, many bubbles will dance with the Orz. The Orz are now sad animals.

He misspelled dimension. :P

Ok, how many production stations would a planet 10% larger then earth, 800,000 population, and a GPD of 1.2T be able to hold? I'm trying to calculate it, and im getting numbers in the hundreds, so I'm doing something wrong..

Ok so

561,079,200 Sq km. With 800,000 people on....Well 800,000 people only need around 80,000 Km to live on... so assuming that 80,000 Km was processed by 800,000 people, halved for children and old people so 400,000, minus 150,000 for criminals/layabouts and you have 250,000. So 80,000km worked by 250,000. Now consider that they need food so thats about 200,000 taken out. So 50,000 people and 30,000km left. Now 2 man/woman cannot work a full Km, so you are looking at maybe 50 people per Kilometer. So 50,000 people working 1,000 Km.

So thats 1000(from capital)*(0.005*2) so you can support 10 stations at 1,000 PP each.(my method)

Alternatively you can work it out by:

1000*(0.8*13.2) = 10,560 PP. Given Doom's less than generous 200 PP per station cap you have a maxium of 53 Stations. (Simple method)

(Capital*(Population in Millions * Land/500))

Remember to use bodmas.

Either way you come to about 10,000 PP as a max limit.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

To be honest, when you edited my post, you scared me. I thought I actually spelled it that way for some reason and was like WTF.

Wait, how do 800k people make 1.2t? that's an average of 1.5m per person per year. EDIT: And you don't keep your entire GDP, otherwise they're slaves. Even if you were getting 1.5m per person, you'd still only have a budget of 7,680,000,000 (Taxes at 20%, and then 80% of taxes go to necessary things like road upkeep, and you keep 20%)

I don't think there's a limit of stations, it would just take a lot of time. It's taken me 50+ years to build ~45

I actually find 200 PP/station too generous. I would much rather it have been 20 from the start. That way even with 50 stations building large ships would still take time, and ships would matter more individually.

Is Archi's system of PP different from Doom's? It seems like the values aren't consistent with each other.

Yeah, in that case the simple method is probably better. It is a well known fact that unemployment expands to meet the full quota of slack within a system.

(Capital*(Population in Millions * Land/500))

1000*(800*(6600/500)=1000*(800*13.2)= 1000*10560=10,560,000 PP would be your maxium. So with Doom's outragous limits you could have 528,000 stations.

Is Archi's system of PP different from Doom's? It seems like the values aren't consistent with each other.

Indeed it is. I think being able to produce 20 feet of steel a year is unrealistic for a space station.

I don't think that is the case. Your PP is different from Doom's. I say that we should increase Doom's PP to match Archi's PP, and increase the cost of all her ships and stations the same amount. So it would reach approximate parity. My main issue is that I made my modules based on Archi's PP by my production station based on Doom's. Now I'm stuck with low producing stations creating high cost modules.
