Well I can tell you the basics of the thread. All newcomers start out at present day (real life) technology levels, whereas the rest of the thread is at 2037 (I think) tech levels. It's not that hard to catch up though.

 

Start with what you want to change.

 

I would look at wikipedia articles for peru. Poverty might be a problem, maybe you could start some government funded projects in order to help decrease unemployment. It doesn't have to be anything big.

 

Maybe you could fund increases in public transportation and alternative energies, or something like that. It's all up to you, I'm just throwing out ideas.

 

All the countries in south america, other than venezuela and yourself are part of the Brazilian empire, which is controlled by me. The other two superpowers in the world are germany and russia. The US has been destroyed, though the land is being recolonized slowly by me and Iran (now known as the kingdom of aether.)

 

Each real life day is 1 game year. Since I'm your closest neighbor in the game, I can probably help you get started

Could Findenland purchase colonization ships from any country, preferably Norway? We would like to set up the Colony of New Helsinki. We have secretly been storing masses of seeds that provide food and thrive in the high iron soil. Infrastructure for the colony is under way, and the first wave of colonists have already been selected. We have been stockpiling compressed CO2 (which we have made sure will make the journey) for the plants. We will keep some ordinary plants in the actual buildings, and some crops outside and some in the colony greenhouse.

I didn't add the southern bit that Hedgehog owns as I'm not sure if he gets just that right bit or both.

Malaysia update: The war in vietnam in the air and naval division is going very well we have destroyed both their navy and their airforce(their planes couldnt keep up with our UMRF's) They have had heavy causaulties in the tank divisions but are still not sufficiently weak for us to push in off of the beaches and take their capitol city (we are trying to have diplomatic talks to avoid the loss of infrastructure). Also malaysia is starting to have diplomatic talks with indoneasia to start an island empire(i hope it goes well). Anyways the TITAN project goes along well and should be done in 3 years \ at which point it will be unveiled.

Scientists in haven have completed the windmill project. It worked out great, what it basically is is windmills covered in solar panels, with an advanced turbine. 100 of them is about equal to one oil plant. Our space program is coming along well, we should be able to launch in 9 - 10 years. We would like to reserve the spot north of the gallery of void, if possible. Our new tanks are expected to be finished next year, with 30 rolling err.. floating out of the factory in 2 years. The Turkmenistan conflict is escalating. the government has been launching rockets at our towns, and we have been bombarding their bases, but have restrained from a full scale invasion.

Canada's economy continues to improve. The Canadian military (which is being assimilated into the Britannian military) has been introduced to modern weapons and has almost completed their training. All Canadian naval ships have been assimilated into the Royal Navy, as well as their aircraft. I own Congo, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. Soon to be Madagascar as well, so you may want to throw that in there as well.

 

 

 

And I'll be expecting my colony chips in two years than, Doom :D

 

 

 

The first artifiicial womb has been created and is currently in use to see if there are major differences between human born clones and machine born clones. Only time will tell.

 

 

 

Ion cannon research is on low priority at the moment, as it is expensive and so many resources are already boing into different projects. If any country would like to help design it, that'd be good (it's for international tech anyway, you might as well help).

 

 

 

1000 people are being trained on basic space knowledge for their future journy to Mars.

The design for a small spacecraft (think, in size comparison, a fighter vs a star destroyer) is complete. These are used for either personal transports, or can be equipped with a type of weapon that we're working on completing soon.

 

Design for a Destat class space battleship is near completed aswell, it's really just mixing and matching preexisting technology, then putting some weapons on that. It's being assembled over mars. Some new features include: Mass driver based engine as back up, a-neutronic fusion reactor, Plasma "windows", and basic plasma shielding against weapons or asteroids. It uses the same high-density, high strength composites we created for our first ships as it's basic armor. There is also a hangar for small shuttles or "fighters". It's roughly 1.1km long, though it will be some time before it is completed.

Oh, and as you might be wondering how a civilization built on mountaintops/ inside mountains sustains itself, heres a basic explanation of my society.

 

 

 

No-one may enter the Land of Tan without permission from my board of supervisors. Permission is generally based on IQ, but other skills or talents may replace this, if exceptional. Basically dumb people are banned from the Land of Tan.

 

 

 

Almost all income comes from patents, as when you throw a bunch of smart people into a country, some of them will invent things. Mind, my countries population is still in the three digit zone, but we're getting there. Who doesn't want to move to a country devoid of idiots? (At least, thats what my propaganda says.)

 

 

 

I am also beginning public projects GREEN, GRUB, and GAIN.

 

GREEN is a project designed to help me find new energy sources, partially for the enviorments sake, but mainly so I don't have to buy oil.

 

GRUB is a project that experiments in making plants that can be grown underground. Once again, this is to improve my country's independance.

 

GAIN is a public works project meant to encourage immigrants, increase trade, and foster new businesses.

 

 

 

Before anyone asks how I pay for this, part of my county's first group of inhabitants were rich guys who I used my mad persuasiveness and charismaticness. Obviously they're loaning ot me, but they're confident I know what I'm doing.

Colony ship has returned to Mars to drop off another 1200 colonists and 400 soldiers, bringing it to a total of 2900 colonists and a security force of 1300. Research has been slowed down, but is continuing on a classified project.
