My Geographical experts have found a way to make this tunnel, but it is going to be quite hard and risky. There is quite hard rock we need to drill through, and we have to be careful not to collapse the tunnel. My experts have estimated that it will take about 5+ years to drill through, and a further two years to get it ready for use. The tunnel will be 50 m wide, but 20 high. It will be challenging, but it shall be worth it. The tunnel won't be at risk from Plate Tectonics, though Earth Quakes could be a hazard. . . Grim_ Posted August 21, 2009 Share Posted August 21, 2009 Wow anyways the invasion of vietnam commences with the Vietnamese army doing little to hinder us When the HAW's landed they had little support and were quickly surrounded by average infantry who then opened fire needless to say they are mostly dead(thanks to the blunderbuss cannons on the legs) However there seems to be still some guirella activity so I have positioned my first retro fitted aircraft carrier to launch flights over vietnam. I would imagine that the leaders of Vietnam would be willing to have peace talks by now but it would appear the are not :x . Anyways the TITAN project commences. Your giant walkers would not be able to walk through that. And guerrilla warfare is probably a specialty of their 9 and a half million soldiers, in otherwords, about a third as many people as in your country are in their army, and ready to fight. Faster, stronger, smarter, or what? What new weapons have been made? I know there are apparently antimatter-powered ships, so there are probably antimatter bombs.... Anything else? I would like to move over to Antarctica to continue research into project ICE. Also, if Italy is made into a new player, they had better not put heavy taxes on my trade. I don't have power yet, but if project ICE succeeds, I will be a total arse to anyone who irritates me. Oh and I'm probably going to make my flag in Paint soon. While flying home from Haven, The minister of foreign affair's plain was shot down over Turkmenistan. Troops are now massing on the border, but the leaders are reluctant to send in troops, fearing mass casualties. Turkmenistan has an army of about 200,000 to our 400,000, but they are more trained in this terrain. We have issued an order to their government to step down, but they openly defy us. Wisp Posted August 21, 2009 Share Posted August 21, 2009 And I don't see how plasma weaponry makes any sense at all for warheads. Plasma is extremely heated gas. For it to continue being plasma, it would require a constant and massive stream of energy/heat. Which means even having plasma warheads drains a ton of resources. But, despite that, Plasma has it's uses. We are beginning research for plasma based aerodynamics, along with some possible new ship designs. Also, we are working independently to develop a small type of spacecraft with equal speed to our "capital" ships, but more maneuverability. EDIT: @ Grim. You should still be able to retreat if you want. Exosuits improve speed, strength and co-ordinationl, at different levels depending on the type of suit. Okay so for an actual update: Home based scientists are working on artificial wombs to increase the rate at which human cloning can be done. So far all human tests have been relitively successful. Fetuses are now being treated with vaccines while still in the embryo to prevent what happened to the second clone from happening to all the clones. Haven based scientists are working on something to summon rain, not just in frequency but in magnitude. Perhaps an Ion beam of sorts would work? We may need some imput from other countries.
