I'll happily ally with anyone and everyone around me, and try to remain neutral while I build my nation.

 

 

 

To put it succinctly, we will be creating new technologies which we will sell to other nations or trade for their own technologies. Obviously I'm going to ally with Germania rather than being squished.

 

 

 

My first acts will be to initiate several programs: building a research base in the alps, as well as a secret research base inside a mountain. I will also make bases on any islands I can get.

 

 

 

Many of my research programs will be hush-hush, but you'll hear about them through code names.

 

We already have a set of islands used for research and development, it is called Haven and has members from various countries, with more joining as all are allowed to join. No military is allowed within 10 miles of the islands, no military research or development and there are no secrets.

Woah there tiger, calm down! We really need to enforce the "state a decent reason for annexing countries" rule. Any previous annexes will be allowed, but all future will require a decent reason. Things such as "I want more land" "I need to get oil from them" and "I felt threatend by Germania's large expansion" are not valid, but "To keep safe from Mage" is. ;)

 

 

 

Also, to whoever updates the maps. Dungeonal still is in play and he owns Japan, so when you next update it please colour in Japan, thanks. :)

Also, kazakhstan's real life military is 150 thousand. Even if he conscripted 500,000 people in a year, or had them volunteer, they all would be inadequately trained, then he would not be able to capture like 7 countries, many of them far away from him, and sustain occupations.

Also, kazakhstan's real life military is 150 thousand. Even if he conscripted 500,000 people in a year, or had them volunteer, they all would be inadequately trained, then he would not be able to capture like 7 countries, many of them far away from him, and sustain occupations.

 

 

 

So far Ive only captured 2 countries (Uzbekistan and Mongolia), and one of the joined me peacefully

Since colonists dont need the ship to stay in anymore, I will send it back to pick up another 1400 colonists and 200 more troops. Will also send back more supplies. Shuttles containing new load of colonists due to arrive soon.

I forget if I mentioned it earlier, but for the past few years we've been working on R&D for USRD (unmanned satellite repair drone). Basically, we've created a few hundred of these, they're fairly cheap. They're little drones, about the size of a person, that have a little propulsion system, and they basically fly around in Earth's orbit and repair and if necessary, upgrade any satellites that need repairing. Since I have a ton of satellites in orbit, this saves me a lot of money and time. They can also go into a free floating state till their solar batteries are charged, and they can dock at one of my three production space stations.

 

 

 

I posted a bit back, Argentina joined the brazilian empire of it's own accord, we expect all former-SAR states to follow within the next 5 years.

My five arc cannons are now complete, so nobody will be able to attack Mars, even if it were viable at the moment.

 

 

 

I have also decided to build two on Earth, one in my capital, and one in my part of America.

Only if they either buy a ship, or actually research ships, since shuttles new players *might* have only hold a few people. So how about researching a ship takes at least 8 years?

 

So the new player would have to wait 8 days to join in?

 

I'd say we should just assume that the individual has enough money to create a ship and create a colony on mars. but only after all the countries on Earth are taken (If they are.)

 

 

 

I have begun production on my own version of your multitool ship, by the way.

 

It basically houses a lot less people, in exchange for higher foundry efficiency and cargo hold.

 

Should have the two that are currently in production completed in 2-3 years.

 

 

 

I'm going to use them to mine iron and other minerals in the asteroid belt, and then experiment with some basic superstructure ideas, which will probably not come into fruition for a good 15-20 years.

Building of the production factories are 2/3rds done, expecting to be done next year. We now have 30,000 troops in total training. Due to the population size, we are going to try and have an army of about 60,000 in the upcoming years.

Germania has really no discernible part in the Haven project, aside from being the one who built the research facilities and is keeping track of the countries that have scientific teams on the isles. But yes, I give my word that scientists from Luxembourg sent to Haven will not be harmed by German scientists, regardless of that we are currently at war. Considering that we have no scientists with the last name of Freeman, asking Germanian scientists to attack others would be a disastrous proposition.

 

 

 

Germania would once again like to offer a blanket peace to Luxembourg, with the added bonus of Germanian military aid promised should Luxembourg decide to expand in Southern Africa.

 

 

 

Also, the research into spacecraft in Germania should be completed within 2-3 years now.

I definitely do not agree with that rule. Considering it took a joint Brazilian-Norway team 15 years (or so) to actually research and build a spacecraft that could complete inter-planetary travel, it seems like a silly rule. It would allow someone who took, say, Darfur, to expand onto Mars and build up a military presence before even I could realistically be there. No, it would be wayyy too exploitable.

 

 

 

Whether or not a new country researches space development is up to them. Regardless of that, though, the time to research and deploy a spacecraft should be realistic (considering that NASA has been working on space travel for near 40 years now...)

I'll agree to a truce with Germania, but don't think I'll forget when you tackled Europe in only a year, resulting in the deaths of roughly 2 million of my people. But I thank you for the spot in the Haven.
